Inje University’s LAIN-LUPIC Team successfully conducted a working visit to Laos from 8 to 15 January, 2026.

Here's a summary of our key activities:

- 10 January : Visited the KOFIH Lao Office
- 11 January : Met with the Emergency Care Nursing Committee (ECNC) and Visited Mahosot Hospital and the Department of Health Personnel, Ministry of Health.
- 12 January : Kicked off the 10th LAIN-LUPIC Workshop (DAY 1), and Visited the University of Health Sciences
- 13 January : Continued with the 10th LAIN-LUPIC Workshop (DAY 2), and Visited the KOICA Lao Office
- 14 January : Continued with the 10th LAIN-LUPIC Workshop (DAY 3)

Through this productive visit, Inje University’s LAIN-LUPIC Team has reaffirmed its active role in elevating the standards of nursing education across Laos.

The Student Volunteer Exchange Activity between Inje University and the Faculty of Nursing Sciences was successfully completed on January 6, 2026.

The activity was held through the KOICA-funded 2025 University Program for Enhancing Understanding of Development Cooperation, in collaboration with the LAIN-LUPIC Team.

Throughout the activity, the Korean and Lao students engaged in a meaningful exchange of knowledge, culture, and personal experiences.

On 25 December, 2026, the Nursing Practicum Development Committee met at the Donkoy Campus of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences.

The committee reviewed feedback on clinical scenarios for advanced checklists and monitored progress on writing the Nursing Core Skill Evaluation System Book.

In addition, the committee discussed the 3rd and 4th nursing core skill training sessions in Xiengkhouang and Vientiane Provinces, as well as the purchase of nursing training equipment and supplies for the 7th project year.

Inje University’s LAIN-LUPIC Team successfully conducted a working visit to Laos from 14 December to 18 December 2025.

During the visit, the project team engaged with several key stakeholders:

- 15 December: Consulted with the KOFIH Lao Office and the Department of Health Personnel, Ministry of Health.

- 16 December: Visited the Champasack Provincial Health Office and the Champasack College of Health Sciences.

- 17 December: Visited the Champasack Provincial Hospital.

This productive visit enabled the project team to establish new cooperative ties and share key project outcomes.

The Second Nursing Core Skill Training, held at Oudomxay Public Health School, was successfully completed on December 10 and 11, 2025.

Twenty nursing lecturers and nurses from the Oudomxay Public Health School and the Provincial Hospital actively engaged in the two-day training.

The participants were able to learn how to effectively utilize the nursing core skill materials for teaching and student evaluation.

On December 05, the Nursing Curriculum Development Committee (NCDC) met at the Donkoy Campus of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences.

During the meeting, the members reviewed their course syllabus and discussed the writing format and content structure for textbook development.

They also discussed a student exchange activity and the 10th LAIN-LUPIC Workshop, scheduled for January 06 and January 12-14, respectively.

The First Nursing Core Skill Training at Luang Prabang College of Health Sciences was successfully completed on November 26 and 27, 2025.

The training was organized by Inje University's LAIN-LUPIC Team, in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing Sciences at the University of Health Sciences.

A total of 20 nursing lecturers and nurses from Luang Prabang College and the Provincial Hospital actively participated in the two-day training.

The training equipped the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to utilize the new nursing core skills manuals and videos for teaching, and to effectively apply the checklists for student evaluation.

During the training, 30 sets of nursing core skill books and 5 sets of Emergency Nursing Guidebooks were also handed over to Luang Prabang College and the Provincial Hospital.

In addition, on November 28, 2025, a separate Letter of Intent (LOI) between Luang Prabang College of Health Sciences and Inje University was signed. The two institutions agreed to further strengthen and expand collaborative activities in nursing education.

On 29 October, the Multiple Choice Question Development Committee (MCQC) met at the Faculty of Nursing Sciences' Donkoy Campus.

The committee discussed the development of example application-type questions for seven subjects in the National Licensing Examination for Nurses and Midwives.

The questions will be reviewed and receive feedback from the project team at the 10th LAIN-LUPIC Workshop, scheduled for 12 - 14 January, 2026.

On October 28, the Nursing Curriculum Development Committee (NCDC) met at the Faculty of Nursing Sciences' Donkoy Campus.

The committee continued its work on nursing textbook development, discussing the format and style.

Additionally, the members completed the 2025 project beneficiary satisfaction survey requested by the National Research Foundation of Korea.

On October 20, the Nursing Practicum Development Committee met at the Faculty of Nursing Sciences' Donkoy Campus.

The committee monitored the progress of nursing core skill evaluations in practicum courses for the 2025-2026 academic year.

They also discussed the development of clinical scenarios for advanced nursing core skill checklists.

Additionally, the committee discussed the nursing core skill training for provincial schools and set the dates for the first and second training sessions this year.

A nursing equipment training session was held on October 9 in the Nursing Skills Lab at the Donkoy Campus of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences.

Korean experts from BT Inc. thoroughly inspected all nursing equipment and provided detailed explanations on its proper use and maintenance.

This refresher training allowed lecturers to deepen their understanding and is expected to ensure the full utilization of all equipment functions.
