To celebrate Lao New Year, EFLP held a traditional baci ceremony to bless the school and bring good fortune to our community. The festivities continued with joyful water splashing, as students and teachers came together in laughter and play—symbolizing renewal, cleansing, and fresh beginnings.

Pour célébrer le Nouvel An lao, l’EFLP a organisé une cérémonie traditionnelle du baci afin de bénir l’école et d’apporter chance et prospérité à notre communauté. Les festivités se sont poursuivies avec des jeux d’eau, où élèves et enseignants se sont réunis dans les rires et la bonne humeur — symbolisant le renouveau, la purification et les nouveaux départs.

To honor the upcoming Lao National Day, EF-LP students and staff came to school in beautiful traditional attire from across Laos, joyfully showcasing their heritage—or the culture they’ve embraced as their own. Our wider community also came together for a baci ceremony, with students taking part in preparing its many symbolic elements and materials.

Pour célébrer la prochaine Fête Nationale du Laos, les élèves et le personnel de l’EF-LP sont venus à l’école vêtus de magnifiques tenues traditionnelles provenant des différentes régions du pays, mettant joyeusement en valeur leur patrimoine — ou la culture qu’ils ont adoptée comme la leur. Notre communauté s’est également réunie pour une cérémonie du baci, à laquelle les élèves ont participé en préparant ses nombreux éléments et matériaux symboliques.

ເພື່ອສະເຫຼີມສະຫຼອງວັນສິດທິເດັກ, ນັກຮຽນ EF-LP ໄດ້ຄົ້ນຫາສິດທິພື້ນຖານທີ່ປົກປ້ອງສະຫວັດດີພາບ, ກຽດສັກສີ ແລະ ສຽງຂອງເດັກທຸກຄົນ.

To celebrate Child Rights Day, EF-LP students explored the fundamental rights that protect every child’s well-being, dignity, and voice.

After learning about these rights, each student chose the one that mattered most to them and expressed it through writing or drawing. Their colorful cards are now hanging in the trees around our school—a beautiful “rights garden” for our whole community to reflect on and enjoy.

Pour célébrer la Journée internationale des droits de l'enfant, les élèves de l'EF-LP ont découvert les droits fondamentaux qui protègent le bien-être, la dignité et la voix de chaque enfant.

Après avoir pris connaissance de ces droits, chaque élève a choisi celui qui lui tenait le plus à cœur et l'a exprimé par écrit ou par le dessin. Leurs cartes colorées sont désormais accrochées aux arbres autour de notre école, formant un magnifique « jardin des droits » que toute notre communauté peut contempler et apprécier.

*EFLP is looking for its new School Cook*
The EFLP school is looking for a school cook to prepare healthy, tasty meals for about 65 people per day, 4 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday).
Position: school cook
Requirements: Must be a person who loves cooking, has high responsibility for his/her work duties, respect hygiene and food health protocol.
Experience in cooking for groups, restaurant or hotel, and an interest in balanced, child-friendly meals appreciated.
Responsibilities: Make a shopping list for each menu before cooking day, go shopping depending on the daily shopping list, cook food according to the daily menu, and of students taking food in the dining room.
Working hours: 7:00 – 12:30 (this time includes going to the market) 4 days/week (Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday)
Starting date : December 2025
Benefits: Personal Accident Insurance, Social Security Organization, Lao New Year bonus, Meals at school during schooling time, fuel allowance for going to the market, vacation days according to the school's schedule.
