3 декабря в 11:00 у нас планируется Open talk на тему: Барьеры, препятствующие экономическому равноправию женщин, воспитывающих детей с особенностями в развитии.

Наш спикер Айжан Альжанова, выпускница двух обменных программ FLEX и Global Village, региональный лидер NAN в городе Шымкент, а также сооснователь Общественного фонда .

В рамках 16 дней активности против гендерного неравенства и насилия мы в этот день узнаем:

▪️Сложности, с которыми сталкиваются мамы особенных детей

▪️Виды психологического насилия против женщин

▪️Барьеры, мешающие экономическому благосостоянию социально уязвимых женщин

В интерактивном формате составим пути решения для этой проблемы и повысим свою осведомленность.

Курс состоит из 80 часов английского языка, 20 часов краеведения и 4 экскурсий. Занятия офлайн в часы удобные для отобранных участников. Количество участников ограничено. Отбор проводится на конкурсной основе в 3 этапа:

To the attention of Shymkent citizens! For those who study, work or plan to work in the field of tourism and wish to improve their level of professional English for conducting city and region tours in English, the American Corner in Shymkent is launching the «English for Tourism» project.
The course consists of 80 hours of English, 20 hours of local history and 4 excursions. Offline classes at hours convenient for selected participants. The number of participants is limited. The selection is carried out on a competitive basis in 3 rounds:

American Corner Shymkent successfully finished the last for this academic year project - 'English for Tourism'. 15 participants of the project have improved their professional English and learnt important information about our city and Turkestan region. Everyone gave very positive feedback and expressed desire to participate in similar projects.
We wish our 'newborn' guides attentive grateful tourists and success in all further endeavors.

On 27 and 28 May EFL teachers - participants of the course "Web 2.0 for Cognitive and Communicative Learning" practiced web applications and platforms to create their own post related to the theme 'Success', which was discussed across the entire course. Having considered and analyzed aspects and ingredients of success within " The Iceberg illusion", participants created their own posts reflecting their vision of the road to success. Some of them associate success with persistence and discipline, others with positive attitude and belief or even sacrifice for your success, the analogy was given with the game of chess. . Another remarkable result of the course was that participants applied various formats for their final project within one platform. Most of them used Canva.com to create a presentation or a video with the sound. While presenting their projects participants had to assess against various aspects, like design and layout, delivery and performance (both technical and human) apart from language criteria. The conclusion that the participants came to was that creating instructions within the Bloom's taxonomy ensures students' learning and make it comfortable and enjoyable for every learner.
