📌Our esteemed guest will be teaching a course titled “The Rule of Law, Corruption, and International Law” from April 10th to May 10th, tailored for students majoring in International Law.

🇰🇿🇩🇪On November 13, 2023 Maqsut Narikbayev University was pleased to welcome H.E. Ambassador Monika Iwersen - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the "Applied Diplomacy" course.

📌The Ambassador's lecture was devoted to her personal experience as a diplomat, German history, global international relations between different countries, academic and scientific relations between Kazakhstan and Germany and shared tips for future colleagues.

🇰🇿🇳🇱On November 6, 2023, Maqsut Narikbayev University had a guest lecture of H.E. Ambassador Nico Schermers - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Kazakhstan within the "Applied Diplomacy" course.

📍Ambassador Schermers gave an overview of the economy and water management of the Netherlands, noted the development of Kazakhstan and mentioned bilateral relations between our countries, as well as cooperation in the field of education.
Ambassador also shared with the students his personal diplomatic experience.

🏛️From October 24 to 27, 2023, Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted a short course on International Business Law from Professor - Jason Czyz, Co-President of the Institute of International Education (IIE).

📌The course covered the basic contractual terms contained in international business contracts such as: indemnification, choice of law, force majeure, termination of contract, taxation, dispute resolution , etc.

📢2 ноября 16:00 состоится онлайн-встреча с представителем Penn State Law (США) Стивом Барнсом. В ходе встречи, г-н Барнс подробно расскажет о программе академической мобильности на осенний семестр 2024 года, а также, будет представлена информация о возможностях поступления на программы магистратуры в Penn State Law и о том, как можно получить диплом магистратуры в Penn State Law, обучаясь одновременно в бакалавриате MNU.

🔉Напоминаем, что в осеннем семестре 2024-2025 уч.г. Penn Statе Law предоставляет 6 мест на академическую мобильность;

📄Для участия в программе академической мобильности Вы должны:
▫️в следующем году быть студентом выпускного курса бакалавриата MNU (т.е. сейчас Вы обучаетесь на 3 курсе бакалавриата);
▫️иметь GPA 2.5 и выше;
▫️владеть английским языком на уровне В2/С1.

Meet our Visiting Professor at the International School of Economics, Dr. Martin Geiger.🤩

Dr. Martin Geiger (PhD, University of Bonn/Germany) is a Professor of Migration Policy and Population Mobility at Carleton University. His work focuses on European and global migration governance, the role of interstate and private actors in migration governance, and the interrelated aspects of policy regulation, development (innovation and growth) and population change.

Dr. Geiger has received various research and teaching awards, including the prestigious German Doctoral Fellowship (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes), the Government of Canada Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Ontario Early Researchers Award (ERA), the SSHRC Insight Development Grant, and the Capital Educators' Award.

We are very pleased to have such an experienced Professor as an invaluable addition to the International School of Economics on our International Migration course.

🏛️On October 19, 2023, at Maqsut Narikbayev University, within the framework of the course "International Humanitarian Law", an open guest lecture of the Head of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Kazakhstan on "Protection of cultural values during armed conflicts" was held.

📍The International Committee of the Red Cross is an impartial, neutral and independent organization whose aims and objectives are exclusively humanitarian in nature, namely to protect the lives and dignity of people affected by armed conflict and violence and to provide them with assistance.

🇰🇿🇱🇹On October 18, 2023, Maqsut Narikbayev University hosted a guest lecture of H.E. Ambassador Egidijus Navikas - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the course "Applied Diplomacy".

👤H.E. Egidijus Navikas shared his personal diplomatic experience and important lessons that he learned being an Ambassador, explained about diplomacy and security of Lithuania, as well as Lithuania's activities in NATO.
