General information
The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory is the leading music higher education institution in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For a long perion of its history, the conservatory has managed to create its own national model of higher music education. Organic synthesis of European classical and national systems of education makes this model unique.
Today the graduates of the conservatoire works almost in all music collectives of the country and are the participants of many foreign professional collectives - Russia, Germany, Greece, Holland, Israel, USA, France, Canada, Korea, China, etc.
With accordance to Bologna agreement the conservatoire adopts a new international credit system of education. New highly demanded on domestic and foreign markets specializations of Bachelor and Master programs are implemented. For instance, in 2007 new specialization “Art Management” was opened. In a soon future, on the basis of the conservatoire’s own TV and radio complex, new specializations will be offered. Such as sound director and producer, sound engineer for record studios, music critic for radio, radio programs author and anchor-musicologist.
According to the general rating of Kazakhstani universities, the conservatory is the first arts higher education institution in the country.
