Mistakes in IELTS cost us a lot – in terms of money, time and the stress that we suffer.
Check out list of most common, really bad mistakes , read carefully and stay away fromthose pitfalls.
🤦 Your current level with the English language
Most candidates are unaware of their current English level which is often intermediate or below, anddo not consider that it is demanding test. As such, your English is expected to be top notch.
👩🎓 Your target band score
Many test-takers assume that with current level which is often intermediate or below they can get
their ideal 7 and higher score. Remember this test is examining your proficiency in the Englishlanguage and that this amount (level) will not be sufficient.
🏃 Express preparation in 3 weeks
Majority of students put a lot of pressure on themselves and do not ensure they have enough time
to prepare before the test.
Don’t forget to take external factors, such as work and your social life, into account. You will not beproductive if you study 24/7. Schedule regular breaks between your preparation, to allow time forthe information to be absorbed.Plan ahead and book a date for a test that gives you plenty of time towork towards your ideal score.It is always a better idea to plan your preparation journey beforehand.
