НАТО ақпараттық және ресурстық орталығы 10 наурыз – 10 сәуір аралығында «Қазақстан мен НАТО арасындағы ынтымақтастықтың ақиқаты мен болашағы» атты халықаралық студенттік эссе сайысын жариялайды. Сайысқа қазақстандық және шетелдік әріптес-университеттердің бакалавриат, магистратура және докторантура студенттері қатыса алады.

Жұмыстарды жазбаша түрде әл-Фараби атындағы Қазақ ұлттық университетінің халықаралық қатынастар факультетіне (Алматы қаласы, Қарасай батыр көшесі, 95А, 223 кабинет) немесе e-mail арқылы [email protected] адресіне жіберуге болады.

NATO Resource and Information Center pleased to announce International student Essay contest on ‘Realities and Perspectives of Kazakhstan-NATO Cooperation’. BA, MA and PhD students from Kazakh Universities and partner-Universities are welcome.

Deadline: April, 10. Essays should be submitted in written form to International relations Department, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Room 223 (Karasai batyr str., 95A) or send by e-mail to [email protected]

Ресурсный и информационный центр о НАТО с 10 марта по 10 апреля проводит Международный конкурс студенческих эссе «Реалии и перспективы сотрудничества Казахстана и НАТО»
К участию в конкурсе приглашаются студенты, магистранты и докторанты казахстанских вузов, вузов-партнеров.

Rosaria Puglisi, NATO Liaison Officer for Central Asia visited IR Department at 26, January 2016

After VCT at 'NATO mini-model' (November, 2015) Rosaria Puglisi had her first IRL conversation with students of International relations Department. The event gathered both BA and MA students and it was beyond traditional guest-lecture rather being kind of professional discussion with Q&A element on such topics as security in Central Asia, Afghanistan, NATO-CA cooperation, etc. From now Rosaria will be Center's frequent guest, so follow our news and announcements.

On November 27th, 2014, Resource and information center on NATO at Al-Farabi KazNU and NATO Students Association NATO organized IV National Student Forum “Mini-Model NATO: NATO's activities in the context of the new geopolitical situation”. The Mini-Model is essentially a simulation of the proceedings of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It provides a unique opportunity for university and college students to study the role, structure and activities of NATO, as well as the military, political-security, and economic issues facing the Alliance. Through simulation, students gain a better and clearer understanding of the capabilities and constraints that shape the policies of NATO countries in determining matters of collective security. Apart from dealing with a prepared agenda, students grapple with a contemporary crisis to be revealed at the Model.
Liason Officer/Head of Office of NATO in Central Asia Alexander Vinnikov met with the audience through video conference to deliver a keynote address and respond to questions. Mr. Vinnikov gave the audience an overview of NATO’s partnerships in Central Asia. He explained that partnerships are always based on either a common goal or a common threat, such as narcotics and identified, which are the main areas of NATO support, such as political dialogue and training. Furthermore, he spoke about the ending of the ISAF-project and what NATO’s further short-term and long-term plans for Afghanistan are, consisting of building up good neighborly relations and stabilizing Afghanistan as a country.
More than 60 students of different universities of Kazakhstan like Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Military Institute of Grounded Forces, KIMEP, Kazakh-German University attended this forum.
