Live Language Kazakhstan is 8 years old!

This week we have said goodbye to Zhibek, who has been with us as an administrator since last September., and we are grateful for all the valuable work she has done for the school.

She leaves with our best wishes for her coming wedding and her new life in another city!

Today we welcome Kamila, another high-flying student who has joined the school's admin team.

"Hello!
My name is Kamila. I'll be joining the Live Languages Kazakhstan community as of today. English language is the most universal language in history, way more than the Latin of Julius Caesar. I believe we hold a significant power in our hands, the most important key to future success. Any topic you're interested in, whether it's science, technology, literature, or art, you may expand your knowledge while you learn English. Studying in English was a key goal for me. That's how I ended up enrolling at Kazakh-British Technical University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Like you, I aspire to sound like a native speaker one day, therefore it's a joy to work in such a welcoming enHello!

Our student of the month for February is Vassiliy (Advanced), another busy manager from our corporate clients. He heroically continued to attend lessons when he was recently locked down in Turkey.

Мне нравится в этом обучении разносторонее развитие навыков: чтение, речь, письмо. Спустя какое-то время я начал чувствовать себя гораздо уверенее в использовании английского языка. Энтони, наш преподаватель, внимателен и доброжелателен, очень хорошо поясняет нюансы и важные детали.

Our student of the month for October is Nastya (Upper Intermediate). Nastya has only been with us for a couple of months, but has already made an impression with her abilities and hard work despite her busy professional life.

"I want to thank the school for this learning experience. I have a great teacher Anthony who is very professional and kind. I like the way he trains students. Also, I see how this course helped me to improve my confidence and to develop my English knowledge skills in everyday work situations."

It's always wonderful to hear from our CELTA graduates!

We recently heard from Lorna who will soon be going to Italy to teach (more about that in another post soon).

Our student of the month for September is Katya (Upper Intermediate). Like many of our students she is a busy professional and a busy parent, and we are amazed that she finds time to be an excellent English student as well.

"I remember the first time I fell for English - trying to understand the Backstreet Boys's songs. I have studied English at school and taken lessons, individually and in groups, locally and abroad, but I still feel it is my area of improvement. Here, at Live Language, I am attending online upper-intermediate classes twice per week, in a mini-group of 3 people. I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical about distance learning, but now, after 2 months, I have definitely adopted and I think it is not a problem at all! Anthony, my teacher, makes every lesson interesting, and even when I am really tired from work, I try not to miss my classes. Sometimes it is not easy to understand English native speakers well, but it is not so hard with Anthony. I could say, that the lessons are well-structured and contain not only standard parts such as grammar, reading, and listening, but involve discussions and brainstorming on different topics. Anthony, when he explains, gives examples from our life and daily routine, so it would be easier to remember words and rules. I enjoy his jokes and the way he corrects his student's mistakes during the lessons and how attentive he is to every student in the group. It would be nice to meet at offline lessons!"

Our student of the month for July was Timur (Upper Intermediate), an executive with one of our corporate clients in Nursultan, the Kazakh capital.
