🌍 Learning through IPC: What do plants need to grow? 🌱

At our school, children learn through the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) - a creative and engaging way to explore the world!

This week in Year 1, our topic is “What do plants need to grow?” 🌿
Our pupils worked in groups to discuss what helps plants grow - sun, water, air, and care ☀️💧🌬️💚 and drew their ideas on the board with colourful markers. 🖍️

It was wonderful to see teamwork, creativity, and so many great ideas!
Through this fun activity, children learned that every living thing needs care and attention to grow. 💛

That’s what IPC is all about - learning through curiosity, creativity, and fun! 💫

⚡️Tricky Words

Tricky words are words that early readers will struggle with. This might be because they have unusual spellings, contain new sounds and graphemes or don't follow ordinary phonemic rules. Many tricky words are ones that we use often, so it's important to teach kids how to spell and pronounce them.

❓Why have you chosen teaching?

✅Teaching is a very challenging yet fulfilling profession for me. I love seeing my students learn and achieve their potential

Teaching also offers a lot of opportunities for learning not only for the students but also for the teacher

❓What do you like about ATIS?

✅ATIS has a very welcoming atmosphere. The teachers and staff are very friendly and helpful. The students are so adorable and they are very keen on exploring

❓What is your favorite film/series?

✅I am a fan of Korean dramas especially historical. Watching this kind of dramas let me absorb information about their culture and it is so interesting I should say

One of my favorites is the “Love in the Moonlight.” I like the story line, the characters and how their roles are portrayed
