xView is a function that helps to find out problem areas of the model.
⠀
The beginners often create a lot of polygons overlapping each other. It may not be visible, but it can create problems for render, and the model will be difficult to edit.
⠀
xView helps to detect such polygons. You’ll find it out in 3ds Max immediately after installation.
⠀
How to use this function?
In the upper left corner of the viewport, to the right side of the plus sign, click the name of the view, for example, perspective.
Then select “xView”, then “Overlapping Faces”.

Now all the polygons that overlap each other will be colored in green, and the number of problem polygons will appear at the bottom of the viewport. By the way, «Auto Update» should be ticked in the xView menu for convenient work.
