A strong U.S. application is usually not built in one stressful week before deadlines. It is built gradually — step by step, month by month.

We always encourage students to start advising sessions earlier, not only when applications are already due. Regular check-ins help make the process more manageable, reduce burnout, keep motivation high, and make sure you do not get lost in deadlines, requirements, and decisions. We recommend scheduling advising sessions at least bi-weekly throughout the summer to stay on track.

💰 Hidden costs of studying in the U.S.

Tuition is only one part of your budget — and that is normal.
A real student budget also includes things like health insurance, housing deposits, textbooks, flights, local transport, winter clothes, a laptop and occasional medical bills.

The good news: when you plan for these in advance, they stop being “hidden” and become just another part of your study plan.
Ask not only “Can I afford this?” but “How can I plan for this?” — and build your budget like a real life plan, step by step, not like a glossy brochure.
