First Baptist Christian School is a preschool and elementary school on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, and is part of the First Baptist Church.

The school enjoys lovely facilities boasting extensive landscaped grounds, playground, soccer field, a full size gym, computer lab, music room and with access to one of the largest chapels and auditoriums in Cayman. One wing houses the Preschool where children are encouraged to learn while playing and having fun. Many of these children go on to join the kindergarten at First Baptist and continue to be a part of our elementary school family, together with their friends and siblings.

๐ŸŒฑ We are pleased to share that FBCS had the opportunity to collaborate with UCCI in their tree-planting initiative! In celebration of 50 years of education in the Cayman Islands, UCCI is planting trees across the islands as a symbol of growth, legacy, and community.

With the help of our Student Council, we planted a beautiful star apple tree on our campus. We look forward to watching it grow and enjoying the fruit it will one day bring! ๐ŸŒณโœจ

Part 1 of Living History Museum ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Our FBCS students and teachers hosted an incredible Living History Museum this week, highlighting influential figures throughout history who have left an indelible mark and lasting legacy on the world. This year, an exciting new element was introduced as our Grade 5 students showcased the National Heroes of the Cayman Islands. ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡พ

Our Middle School students also brought history to life by portraying notable historical figures such as Catherine Hall, Leonardo da Vinci, and Julius Caesar, among many others.

Special kudos to Mrs. Lisette Jorge, who started this meaningful project at FBCS and continues to inspire a love for learning and creativity in our students. Thank you as well to our parents for outfitting the students in their amazing costumes โ€” they looked absolutely spectacular! As always, we are grateful for your continued support, encouragement, and presence as you cheer on our students.

๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡พ Happy Emancipation Day! ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡พ

Friday, we proudly celebrated 345 Day as we kicked off Heritage Month at FBCS!

345 Day represents our three beautiful Cayman Islands, and the unity that connects us all.

This season allows us to reflect more deeply on our history. On May 3, 1835, at Hog Sty Bay in George Town, Governor Lord Sligo declared the formerly enslaved population โ€œabsolutely and unconditionally free.โ€ The proclamation, read by Anthony Pack, allowed Caymanians to bypass the apprenticeship system - making us among the first in the Caribbean to gain full freedom.

Our students and staff came dressed in their Caymanian colors, national dress, and โ€œCaymanian Proudโ€ shirts - filling our campus with pride and joy.

As we continue through Heritage Month, today, we celebrate Emancipation Day, reflecting on the strength and legacy of those who came before us.

Congratulations to all our participants and awardees on these outstanding achievements. Thank you to our teachers, coaches, and families for encouraging and supporting our students every step of the way.

Earth Day 2026 at FBCS was a beautiful reminder that caring for Godโ€™s creation begins with small hands, willing hearts, and a shared sense of responsibility. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

Our students took action by helping to clean up the environment and then enjoyed an informative session led by the Department of Environmental Health. It was a meaningful day of learning, service, and stewardship as we continue to encourage our students to protect, appreciate, and care for the world around them.
