As we close out our teacher highlight series, today we’re recognizing the leadership, vision, and dedication behind Spark! β€” our Owner & Director, Ms. Janelle Tibbetts. ✨

With over fifteen years of experience in music education and arts programming, Janelle has helped shape and guide Spark! as a place where artistry, creativity, learning, and community come together.

From teaching piano, voice, winds, and general music, to directing productions, developing programs, supporting educators, and contributing to arts opportunities across the Cayman Islands, her work reflects a deep commitment to excellence, connection, and helping cultivate spaces where people can continue to access and engage meaningfully with music and the arts. πŸ’«

Jessinah’s journey with Spark! began as a student herself, growing from a young musician and performer into an inspiring teacher and mentor for the next generation. From music and dance to theatre and education, her passion for the arts shines through everything she does.

With experience performing internationally with the Cayman Islands National Dance Company and a strong background in music and education, Ms. Jessinah is deeply committed to helping students grow with confidence, creativity, and joy in a safe and supportive environment.

Today, we’re highlighting one of the incredible educators behind Spark! β€” Ms. Aleksandra Henszel, our Upper Division Coordinator and Music Teacher. 🎼✨

An award-winning musician originally from Poland, Aleksandra has performed at some of Europe’s most renowned concert halls, including the Royal Albert Hall in London and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. Her musical journey has taken her across the world as both a performer and educator, inspiring students through her passion for music, excellence, and creativity.

From orchestras and chamber ensembles to music workshops and international festivals, Ms. Aleksandra brings a wealth of experience and artistry into every lesson at Spark! Whether teaching piano, woodwinds, or coaching young musicians in ensemble performance, she is deeply committed to helping students grow with confidence and joy. πŸ’«

Originally from Scotland, Kenny is a talented guitarist and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of performance and teaching experience. From studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to performing internationally and teaching music programmes around the world, Kenny brings both passion and excellence into every lesson he teaches.

Whether coaching guitar ensembles, ukulele groups, rock bands, or helping beginners discover their confidence through music, Mr. Kenny is dedicated to creating a positive and inspiring environment where students can truly thrive. πŸ’«

Originally from Northern Ireland, Sophie brings a rich background in music, theatre, dance, composition, and performance to Spark! From performing with orchestras and theatre productions across Ireland and England to studying Performance and Composition at the University of Hull, her passion for the arts shines through in every class she teaches.

Whether it’s musical theatre, voice, piano, strings, or helping students grow in confidence on stage, Ms. Sophie inspires creativity, expression, and joy in the next generation of performers. πŸ’«

Sound Lab Camp is a collaborative ensemble music experience where young musicians explore how instruments and voices come together to shape a shared sound.
