Hi, I’m Taejin :)
I started News & Talk because I wanted to learn and grow together with people who enjoy studying .
Unlike free conversation tables, this group focuses on reading English news articles to learn new vocabulary and expressions, and to broaden our perspectives on the world.
Every Thursday at 7:30 PM, we read and discuss two English articles together at GSM Table.
Each article takes about an hour, so the whole session lasts for about two hours.
Articles are chosen weekly by the host or later through member voting.
If you want to improve your , are interested in current issues,
or simply wish to see the world through English — you’re very welcome to join us.
Foreign participants are also welcome, and both English and Korean can be used freely.
After the discussion, we have an “After Talk” session!
Those who want to stay longer can chat freely in English with other GSM members until 11 PM,
putting the day’s expressions into real use in a relaxed atmosphere.
Anyone with good manners and an open mind is always welcome.
Feel free to join even if you arrive late ☕️

사람들과 함께 영어를 공부하고 성장하고 싶다는 마음으로 GSM News & Talk 모임을 시작하게 되었어요.
이 모임은 자유로운 회화보다는 #영어 뉴스를 통해 다양한 어휘와 표현을 익히고, 세상에 대한 시야를 함께 넓혀가는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.
매주 목요일 저녁 7시 30분, GSM테이블에서 영어 기사 두 편을 함께 읽고 이야기해요.
하나의 기사에 약 1시간씩, 총 2시간 동안 서로의 생각을 나누며 토론합니다.
기사는 매주 모임장이 선정하거나, 멤버 투표로 함께 정할 예정이에요.
영어 실력을 향상시키고 싶은 분, 시사에 관심 있는 분,
그리고 영어로 세상을 바라보고 싶은 분이라면 누구나 환영입니다.
외국인 참가자도 함께할 수 있으며, 영어와 한국어 모두 자유롭게 사용할 수 있어요.
토론이 끝난 뒤에는 ‘After Talk’ 시간!
원하는 분들은 11시까지 GSM의 다른 영어 테이블 멤버들과 자유롭게 대화하며
그날 배운 표현들을 실전에서 바로 써볼 수 있습니다.
매너 있고 열린 마음으로 함께 이야기할 수 있는 분이라면 언제든 환영이에요.
