🎉 Savoy Ballroom 100주년 기념 프로젝트 (Part 1)

올해는 스윙 댄서들의 영원한 메카, 사보이 볼룸이 100주년을 맞이하는 뜻깊은 해입니다. 이를 기념하기 위해 태국의 젤리롤 재즈 클럽()에서 너무나도 훌륭한 100장의 카드뉴스를 제작했습니다.

한국의 많은 댄서분들이 우리가 사랑하는 춤의 뿌리와 아프리카계 미국인의 문화, 그리고 그 위대한 역사에 대해 함께 배우고 깊이 이해할 수 있는 기회가 되기를 바라는 마음으로, 이 카드뉴스를 한글로 번역하여 공유하는 프로젝트를 시작합니다.

총 100장의 방대한 이야기인 만큼, 앞으로 여러 차례에 나누어 꾸준히 업로드할 예정입니다.

🎉 Savoy Ballroom 100th Anniversary Project (Part 1)

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Savoy Ballroom, the eternal home of swing dancers. To celebrate this monumental milestone, Jelly Roll Jazz Club () in Thailand has created an incredible 100-part card news series.

I am starting a project to translate these cards into Korean and share them, hoping it will provide a great opportunity for many dancers here to learn about the African American roots, culture, and history behind the dance we all love.

As it is a massive 100-part story, I will be uploading it in multiple installments over time.
So, here is the very first part!

📍 Workshop 진행 방식
강습은 Big Apple과 Savoy에서 동시 진행 (메인 파티는 Big Apple)
🔹 Big Apple : 3 Tracks (Lindyhop, Jazz, St. Louis S**g & All Swing dances)
- 앨리스, 펠리페, 레미, 크리스티앙, 나탈리아
🔹 Savoy : 1 Track (Lindyhop & Jazz) - 프리다 & 스카이
⚠️ 모든 참가자는 하루는 Big Apple, 하루는 Savoy에서 수업 수강 필수
* 상세 커리큘럼은 추후 안내예정

🏆대회 : 즉흥부문 (Draw, Strictly, Solo Jazz)는 풀패키지 신청시 함께 신청가능하며, 루틴부문은 추후 별도 오픈됩니다.

Workshops will be held in Big Apple & Savoy (Main parties at the Big Apple)
🔹 Big Apple: 3 Tracks (Lindyhop, Jazz, St. Louis S**g and All Swing dances)
- Alice, Felipe, Remy, Christian, Natalia
🔹 Savoy: 1 Track (Lindyhop & Jazz) by Frida & Skye
⚠️All participants will take classes in Big Apple for one day and Savoy for one day
* Detailed curriculum will be announced later

🏆 Competitions
Improvisational Divisions (Draw, Strictly, Solo Jazz) can be registered with a full package. and Routine divisions (Couple, Team Shortcase) will open separately at a later date.

LA스타일에서 받은 영감들을 가지고 저희만의 새로운 동작들까지 만들어봤습니다. 딘&쥬얼이 가지고 있는 로테이션들을 슈가푸쉬에 연결시켜 💣 캐논 푸쉬라는 새로운 저희만의 무브를 만들었고, 프리턴 & 스위치도 앞에 오버로테이트 스윙아웃으로 좀더 에너지를 넣어보았습니다.
마지막 할타키어의 스윙아웃은 살짝 맛만봤네용

빈티지 수업은 단순히 따라하는것에 그치지않고 나만의 스타일을 만들어가는 과정입니다. 🌟 이 춤이 가진 매력을 좀더 깊게 디테일하게 살펴 보아용... 여전히 미지의영역이 가득합니다 🤩
