연수단은 한동운 한양대학교 보건의료연구소 교수의 인솔 아래 필리핀 동부사말주 주지사, 부지사, 병원장 등 총 13명으로 구성됐다. 이들은 양평군보건소의 운영 현황을 청취하고 주요 시설을 둘러본 뒤, 용문건강생활지원센터를 방문해 건강증진사업 운영 사례를 살펴봤다.

주요 일정으로는 ▲ 양평군보건소 운영 현황 소개 ▲ 진료실·예방접종실·건강증진실 등 시설 견학 ▲ 질의응답 및 의견 교환 ▲ 용문건강생활지원센터 사업 안내 및 시설 견학 ▲ 기념촬영 등이 진행됐다.

배명석 양평군보건소장은 “이번 연수단 방문을 통해 양평군의 지역보건 운영체계와 건강증진사업이 해외 보건의료 발전에 도움이 되길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 군민의 건강을 지키는 것은 물론, 국제적 협력 기반을 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 양평군의 우수한 보건 행정과 건강증진 사업이 해외에서도 주목받는 계기가 되었으며, 향후 지방정부 간 국제보건 교류 활성화에도 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대된다.
