Anoher successful Spring Book Fair at YISS. Our YISS community loves to read!

What a fun way to celebrate Easter at YISS campus. Our ES had fun participating in the egg hunt at the field organized by YISS PTO.

Congratulations to all 26 finalist for 2023-2024 YISS Calendar Art Contest. The theme this year is "Better Together." Special thanks to Erin Han and Jenny Chung for leading this event.To all the parents who helped frame and set up, thank you. Make sure to check them out at the main lobby until April 14th. Again, congratulations to all our amazing artist!

The YISS PTO is so proud to sponsor the Book Swap every year and this year's event was a success. Over 150 participants contributed approximately 2,200 books. The event took place from February 14-16, the remaining books were donated to the charity organization Little Library Project. Thank you to Leighanne Yuh and Julia Lee for leading this event and to all the parent volunteers. See you again next year.

Thank you to everyone who visited the Fall Book Fair and those who kindly donated books for classroom libraries. Our heartfelt thanks to Fall Book Fair Committee members Jessica Chung, Jennifer Chon and their team of parent volunteers for their invaluable role in helping students find books and facilitating classroom library donations.

This year, our YISS community set a new school record of collecting 515 shoeboxes which will be going to children in Ukraine and Philippines. Thank you to all who participated this years Operation Christmas Child.

The YISS community gathered on 19 November for a celebration and fellowship at the 15th Annual Turkey Bowl. YISS Dad's Club (DC United) squared off against a formidable YISS Teachers & Staff team. An exciting match ensued as both teams gave their best - the regular session ended in a tie, with penalty kicks giving the win to the Parent's team! The match was followed by a traditional Thanksgiving turkey meal facilitated by the YISS PTO.

Special thanks to the Dad's club for putting this great event together! Also to the parents, staff members, the incredible ES Cheerleaders and to Nike Korea/YISS parents for donating three Korea national soccer team jerseys and two Son Heung-min Tottenham Hotspur team uniforms! An amazing event!

On November 13, the YISS PTO and YISS Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) participated in the Oak Tree Run. What a wonderful event that helped raise scholarship funds for orphaned children in Korea. We were blessed to have so many kind and generous participants throughout the YISS community willing to help with this impactful mission! Thank you to all who participated and assisted in the ex*****on of this event. A very special thanks to Jinhi Sohn (PTO Community Service) for countless hours of hard work to make the Oak Tree Run a success - and making YISS the top earners!

Yesterday, students in 5A and 5B planted their prize for having the best upcycled ES game booth at FunFest 2022. Thank you for helping to add two beautiful evergreens to the triangular courtyard!
