파주 해솔도서관에서 열린 ‘모의투자 발표회’, 청소년 창업 열기 ‘후끈’

지난 6월 14일, 파주 해솔도서관에서 파주 중·고등학생들이 창업 아이디어를 발표하고 모의 투자자들로부터 투자 유치를 시도하는 ‘모의투자 발표회’가 열렸습니다. 이번 행사는 파주 꿈함성 공유학교 모의창업 기본과정의 대표 프로그램으로, 경기도파주교육지원청 주최하고 코리아펜(KoreaPEN)이 주관관했습니다.
총 6개 팀이 참여한 가운데, ‘해피테일즈’ 팀이 반려견을 위한 친환경 기능성 하네스를 제안해 최다 투자를 유치하며 1위를 차지했습니다. 참가 학생들은 이번 경험을 통해 창의력, 시장 분석 능력, 실전 프레젠테이션 역량을 직접 체험했습니다.

Startup Passion Heats Up at Mock Investment Pitch Held at Haesol Library in Paju

On June 14, middle and high school students in Paju gathered at Haesol Library to present their startup ideas and pitch for mock investments during a Mock Investment Pitch Event. The event was hosted by the Paju Office of Education and organized by KoreaPEN as part of the Dream-Ham-Seong Shared School's core entrepreneurship program.
A total of six student teams participated, with the team “Happytails” winning the highest investment for their eco-friendly, functional harness for dogs. Through this experience, students were able to develop and demonstrate their creativity, market analysis skills, and real-world presentation abilities.

Successful Launch of Hybrid Internship 2024 with Indonesian Students (HI-IDN 2024) Competency-Based Work Experience Practice Enterprise Program at Politeknik STTT Bandung! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that the “HI-IDN 2024: Digital Competency-Based Work Experience Practice Enterprise (PE) Program" was successfully launched today, August 5th, at Politeknik STTT Bandung in Indonesia. 🙌

This innovative program brings together 40 talented students with the goal of enhancing their digital skills and job readiness through practical and immersive work experience. These students will have the opportunity to acquire valuable skills and develop their expertise in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

Highlighting the Hybrid Internship Concept
A key feature of this program is the hybrid internship model, which combines both virtual and in-person work experiences. This approach allows students to benefit from the flexibility and accessibility of online learning while still gaining hands-on experience in a real-world setting, incorporating task-based learning and curriculum integration.

The opening day was a great success, filled with inspiring moments and interactive sessions. We began with an opening ceremony followed by motivating welcome speeches. The students then received a comprehensive orientation on the program and participated in a pre-self-assessment to identify their strengths and areas for improvement.

After a well-deserved lunch break, the day continued with in-depth digital tool training, essential for their future professional careers. The day concluded with a closing session, marking the beginning of this exciting journey!

인도네시아 폴리텍 대학 교직원 대상 디지털 역량 기반 실습기업(PE) 프로그램 전문가 육성 연수를 성료하다 🌟📢👍

한국직업능력개발원(KRIVET)이 주최하고 KoreaPEN(펜월드와이드한국본부)이 운영한 '2024 디지털 역량 기반 일경험 실습기업(PE) 전문가 육성 연수'가 최근 성공적으로 마무리되었습니다. 이 프로그램은 PE의 'Learning by Doing' 철학을 채택하여 교수진의 디지털 역량을 크게 향상시키고 일경험의 새로운 모델을 확장했습니다. 이러한 접근 방식은 실패로부터 학습할 수 있는 환경을 제공하며, 이는 코로나19 팬데믹 기간 동안 원격 학습 환경에서도 효과적인 것으로 입증되었습니다.

2024년 7월 1일부터 5일까지 진행된 30시간(1일 6시간, 5일간) 프로그램은 PE 프로그램의 이해부터 설계, 운영까지 PE 전문가에게 꼭 필요한 주제를 다루었습니다. Google Workspace, DIFFIT, Weeks52, Zoom 회의 등 디지털 도구 사용과 PE 운영을 위한 실무 실습이 포함되었습니다.

PEN 전문 트레이너의 지도하에 한성대학교에서 하이브리드 형태로 프로그램이 진행되었습니다. Politeknik ATI Makassar 교수 2명과 한국에 거주하는 외국인 Carole Perez 씨가 대면 연수생으로 참여했고, 인도네시아 교수 8명이 원격으로 참여했습니다.

프로그램은 완료율 100%, 만족도 90점 이상, 사전 사후 비교에서 50% 이상의 역량 향상 등 탁월한 성과를 거두었습니다. 🎓✨

이번 연수는 PE 프로그램 전문가가 되기 위한 기본과정이며, 연수 프로그램에서 참가자들은 퍼실리테이터(지도자)와 학생이라는 두가지 관점에서 PE에 대한 이해, 디지털 도구 활용, 디지털 역량 기반 일경험 PE 프로그램 설계 및 운영을 익히기 위한 실습과 학습에 적극적으로 참여했습니다.

이번 한국 연수에 이어 인도네시아 참가자들은 POLITEKNIK STTT BANDUNG에서 진행하는 섬유 및 패션 일경험 PE 프로그램에서 인턴 퍼실리테이터로 참여하게 됩니다. 올해로 2년째를 맞는 이 프로그램은 2024년에는 참여 학생을 20명에서 40명으로 늘릴 예정이며, 오는 8월 5일부터 30일까지 160시간 동안 진행될 예정입니다.

디지털 역량 기반 일경험 PE 프로그램은 인도네시아 직업 훈련 및 고등 교육 분야의 교수진과 학생의 디지털 역량을 강화할 것입니다. 올해 사업은 디지털툴과 PE를 활용한 기업 업무 경험을 교과 커리큘럼의 하나로 발전시키는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이러한 프로그램의 지속적인 확대는 인도네시아 직업교육 발전과 한-인도네시아 청년 지도자 양성, 국제협력에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 기대됩니다.

🌟Successful Completion of Digital Competency-Based Practice Enterprise (PE) Program Training for Indonesian Faculty and Staff 🌟
‘Training of Trainers for Digital Competency-Based Work Experience Practice Enterprise (PE)' hosted by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training(KRIVET) and operated by Korea Pen, was recently successfully completed. The program significantly enhanced the digital capabilities of faculty and expanded the Practice Enterprise (PE) model.

A Practice Enterprise (PE) is a simulated company run by learners that mirrors actual company structures and roles. Learners engage in market research, advertising, purchasing raw materials, producing virtual goods, selling services, and handling processes such as paying salaries and taxes.

The program aimed to implement a 'Learning by Doing' philosophy, providing an environment for learning from failure, which has also proven effective in remote learning environments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 30-hour program (6 hours a day for 5 days), which ran from July 1 to 5, 2024, covered essential topics for PE experts, from understanding to designing and operating PE programs. It included practical experience with digital tools such as Google Workspace, DIFFIT, Weeks52, and Zoom meetings.
Under the guidance of PEN professional trainers, the program was conducted in a hybrid format. Two professors from Politeknik ATI Makassar in Korea, along with Ms. Carole Perez, a foreigner residing in Korea, participated as in-person trainees, while eight Indonesian professors participated remotely.

The program achieved outstanding results with a 100% completion rate, a satisfaction rating of over 90 points, and a competency improvement of over 50% in pre-post comparisons. 🎓✨

This foundational course prepares participants to become PE program experts. During the training participants have been proactively engaged in learning by doing the operation of student programs, adapting digital tools, and designing and operating digital competency-based work experience programs in both the perspectives of instructors and students.

Following this training in Korea, Indonesian participants will partake in a practical experience program in textile and fashion work experience PE program which will be conducted by Politeknik STTT Bandung. This program, now in its second year, plans to expand the number of participating students from 20 to 40 in 2024 and will run for 160 hours from August 5 to 30.

The digital competency-based work experience PE program will strengthen the digital competencies of faculty and students in Indonesia's vocational training and higher education field. It aims to make corporate work experience a regular part of the university curriculum.

코리아스타트업포럼을 방문하여 한·독 청년 및 대학생을 위한 창업 프로그램 공동발굴 및 협력 기회에 대해 논의했습니다. 코리아 스타트업 포럼은 2,050개의 한국 스타트업이 회원으로 참여하는 곳입니다.

교육부 산하 국립 국제 교육 연구원 (NIIED)을 방문하고 네트워킹을 했습니다. 개발국만이 아닌 독일과 유럽의 재능있는 사람들이 장학금을 받고 한국의 고등 교육에 접근할 수 있는 기회를 늘리는 방향으로 정책이 변화하고 있다는 것을 알게 되어 유익했습니다.

한국의 대표적인 독일 기관인 한독상공회의소 와 괴테 인스티튜트를 방문했습니다.

특히 괴테 인스티튜트에서는 경기도교육청 관계자와 한국중등직업교육협회 이사등이 함께 하였고, 독일어 교육 현황 및 한-독 학생 교류 관련 정보를 공유하였습니다..

또한 서울 컨벤션 고등학교를 방문하여 방송 미디어 호텔 식음료 분야 훈련 시설을 둘러보고 미디어 산업분야 한·독 학생 교류 및 협력의 기초를 마련했습니다.

단국대학교 및 한성대학교와 같은 고등 교육 기관의 교직원 및 연구원들과 네트워킹을 했습니다. 함부르크응용과학대학교(BHH)에서 시도하고 있는 대학 (대학원) 교육과 직업 교육의 결합이 한국에서 관심을 끌고 있으며, 향후 한국과 독일 간의 적극적인 협력과 교류가 기대됩니다.

함부르크의 Vocational school chemistry, biology, pharmacy, agriculture (BS 06)에서 10명의 학생과 교수진 2명이 3주 동안의 실용적이고 직업적인 경험을 위해 10월에 한국을 방문할 것입니다.

앞으로 우리는 한국과 독일 학생들이 온라인과 오프라인에서 함께 학습할 수 있는 기회를 확대하고자 합니다. 취업과 창업 분야의 공동 교육 프로그램 개발을 통해 상호 연결된 세상에서 성장할 수 있는 글로벌 인재를 양성하는데 협력할 예정입니다.

In the third week of April 2024, two public officials from Hamburg and Bremen, along with 10 principals and faculty from vocational schools and the Hamburg University of Cooperative Education(BHH), visited Korea.

KoreaPEN (Korea Practice Enterprises Network) and its partner ohohchilpalgu have organized meetings to promote Korean-German students’ exchanges in job experiences and education.

In the meeting with Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education we have discussed strengthening the global capabilities of students at vocational high schools and universities in Gyeonggi Province and expanding international exchange with the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. We discussed opportunities to exchange and collaborate on entrepreneurship programs for Korean-German youth and college students with the Korea Startup Forum, where 2,050 Korean startups participate as members.

Additionally, we visited and networked with the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Ministry of Education. It was informative to know that policies are shifting to increase opportunities for talented people in Germany and Europe to receive scholarships and provide access to Korean higher education to secure global talents in the high-tech field.

We visited the AHK Korea (Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and Goethe Institut, which are representative German institutions in Korea. They also visited Seoul Convention High School and toured facilities for practical education and training, laying the foundation for cooperation in exchange between students from both countries. They networked with faculty and staff from higher education institutions such as Dankook University and Hansung University. The combination of university (graduate) education and vocational education being attempted at BHH is attracting interest in Korea, with expectations of substantial cooperation and exchanges between Korea and Germany in the future.

In the future, we hope to expand opportunities for Korean and German students to learn together online and offline and grow into global talents through the development of joint education programs in the field of employment and entrepreneurship.

Besides the official schedule and meetings, the German delegation explored Seoul, the capital of South Korea, a city that blends tradition and modernity. They visited Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gwanghwamun, and Namsan.

🎤 Investment Pitch Triumphs

Recently, Seoul Foreign School’s middle school students showcased their entrepreneurial acumen during the Virtual Investment Pitch Event held on December 8, 2023. Armed with innovative product ideas and solid business models, these students confidently presented before a panel of judges to attract virtual investments. 🌟

The Virtual Investment Pitch Event serves as a significant milestone, providing a platform for students to showcase the skills and knowledge they acquired during the Virtual Entrepreneurship Program. This program was one of the Schoolwide Extracurricular Program (SWEP) and the first phase took place from September 15 to December 8, 2023.

The Virtual Entrepreneurship Program, facilitated by KoreaPEN, immerses secondary school students in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, fostering teamwork and offering hands-on experiences in the intricacies of building and managing a business from the ground up. This program comprises a total of 6 phases spanning 100 hours. The first phase culminates with a Virtual Investment Pitch.🔍

From understanding market dynamics to creating innovative products, students worked in teams, gaining real-world insights into the challenges and rewards of effective collaboration. The program culminated in a Virtual Investment Pitch, where students presented their ideas to judges, honing public speaking skills and instilling confidence for their future careers. 🚀
