Center for Korean Language and Culture of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies have provided foreigners and Korean nationals from abroad with Korean language and cultural education and tirelessly turned out excellent Korean language teachers now working in Korean or abroad. Korean language programs at CKLC have been cherished by students for its 30-years-long education aimed at extension of practical communication skills. CKLC has helped many foreigners and overseas Koreans to experience communication-focused real Korean language and advanced culture. The History and Know-how of Center for Korean Language and Culture grantee that CKLC would offer the high quality language education to foreigner who study Korean. And the environment and the future of CKLC would offer a precious chance to learn Korean language, to research Korea and to have a relationship with Korea to foreigner. Its forerunner is the Foreign Language Training Institute, established in 1974. For the past 30 years, many foreigners and overseas Koreans have passed through this center to learn the Korean language and Korea's unique culture. With the aim of advancing the Korean language in the international arena and providing a higher level of professional Korean language education, the Center for Korean Language and Culture was reestablished in 2006.
