SK Hynix, Market Intelligence Manager, CA, USA

The job entails working closely with the Director of Market Intelligence in providing quantitative and qualitative analysis to the exec management on market developments from a supply and demand perspective. The candidate should be able to contribute both strategically and tactically with the ability to not only look at the big picture but also dig deep for an in-depth analysis. Working under tight timelines and with the extended team is to be expected.

Job Duties:

Capturing macro strategic view of markets and getting implications/intelligence extracted out of trends/insights
Providing actionable insights (in report format) on the implications/intelligence
Performing data analysis to support arguments and writing research reports with supervised guidance


Minimum Requirements:

BS or advanced degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or Math
5+ experience as Market Analyst in the semiconductor field. Experience or expertise in memory semiconductor companies is a big plus
Proven work experience in ‘market research’ or similar role within the semiconductor industry
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Must be a heavy Excel user and perform ad-hoc analysis on a periodic basis
Ability to perform data analysis and write concise reports
Work cross functionally across various business units to identify trends based on various data sources

Preferred Requirements:

MBA or MS Degree in Math/Data analysis
Expertise in Excel – ability to automate monthly data and link to reports
Strong understanding of application market awareness in memory/semiconductor ecosystem
Bilingual in English and Korean is preferred
