At ECLC, we are fortunate to have many wonderful teachers and staff who help make learning fun and irresistible! ✨ It is our pleasure to introduce our team members while highlighting their talents and backgrounds.

Please help us celebrate Ms. D’Laine, who joined our ECLC community 8 years ago this academic year! 🎉 We asked why ECLC feels special to her and what she hopes her students will remember from their time at ECLC. Here are her answers:

Why is ECLC special to you? 💛
“I love the feeling of community on our ECLC campus. A community founded love, diversity, and respect which is exactly what young children need to thrive and feel safe.”

What is one thing you hope your students take with them from the classroom? 🎓📓✏️
“I hope that students graduate from ECLC having learned that they are loved, seen, supported and valued exactly as they are.” 💕

🌸☀️ Our ECLC friends have really been enjoying the beautiful Spring weather with off-site PE classes and lots of outdoor playtime! 🛝⚽🌿

Playing outside helps our young learners grow strong gross motor skills, build coordination and balance, strengthen teamwork and social skills, boost creativity and imagination, and support healthy minds and bodies! 💪🧠💛 Fresh air and movement also help children feel happier, more focused, and ready to learn! 🌈😊

We love seeing our students active, smiling, and making wonderful memories together this Spring season! 🌷🌞

The weather was absolutely perfect for our annual Fun Around the World event today! ☀️🌍✨
A huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers, our amazing PTA, all of our dedicated ECLC teachers and staff, and our wonderful community for coming out to support our young learners as they explored, played, and had so much fun! 💛🎉👧👦

🚀 We are looking forward to seeing our ECLC Community this Thursday at our annual Fun Around the World event—this year’s theme is an outer-space adventure! 🪐👩‍🚀

Parents are warmly invited to come watch, cheer, and enjoy the fun. 💫
After the event, families are welcome to stay and enjoy a picnic lunch together—please bring along a lunch to share with your child. 🧺🍱
**(ECLC will not provide catered lunch service for this event)**

📚✨ This week, ECLC students and teachers continued our love of reading with our annual Book Week activities!

From tracking our daily reading with our 📖 “Book Week Reading Log,” to participating in an exciting ECLC-wide book swap, our community truly embraced the joy of books. Students loved sharing stories during Buddy Reading with younger friends, listening to special guest parent readers, and bringing their creativity to life by creating their own books, “wild things,” and even some delightfully disgusting portraits inspired by stories! 🎨🤪

We hope our Book Week activities have inspired everyone to become lifelong readers and continue exploring all the amazing places books can take us! 🌍💫

📚✨ ECLC’s Annual Book Week Kick-Off Assembly was a BIG hit! ✨📚

Our amazing teachers surprised us by dressing up as mystery book characters 🕵️‍♀️📖 and gave us fun clues to guess who they were — we had so much fun figuring it out! 🤔🎭

We also enjoyed a silly call-and-response story all about a very special donkey 🫏🤣 that had everyone laughing and joining in!
Book Week reminds us that reading can take us anywhere… 🌍🚀
To magical kingdoms 🏰✨, deep under the sea 🐠🌊, outer space adventures 👩‍🚀🌌, jungle safaris 🐒🌿, and even back in time 🦖⏳!

Why is ECLC special to you? 💛
“When I was very young, I wanted to become a kindergarten teacher. However, I wasn’t able to become a teacher at that time. Thankfully, I was able to come and work at ECLC as a Bus Teacher and Toddler Classroom Assistant. 🚌👶

I am also fortunate to work with great people at ECLC and with wonderful children, especially the Toddler group. I feel happy and grateful here.” 🌱
