This video comes from our Advanced Coaching course (that runs again this Wednesday). It features a brief demo of the Drama Triangle â how people feel like victims when they are upset and how they then react.
They may feel powerless (Victim); have a sense of righteous anger and want to get even (Persecutor) or may hope someone will save them or they may need to save someone else (Rescuer). There are numerous variations to this very personal âstoryâ, often played out in workplaces and families. Sadly, it is mostly replayed within peopleâs heads.

It can be useful to look at personal development through the lens of Archetypesâuniversal patterns of behaviour often reflected in mythological figures.
Why?
Because Archetypes capture both our inherent strengths and our potential blind spots, or shadows, offering a structured way to understand our own and others behaviour.
Using Archetypes as a reference point shows the importance of recognising oneâs natural tendencies whilst highlighting less intuitive skills.
The underlying message is that growth comes not just from leaning into strengths, but from building competence in areas that feel less natural, leading to a more balanced and adaptable approach to life.
