[Notice] Guidelines for Drone Filming on Campus
We would like to provide important information regarding the use of drones on campus. According to the university authorities, drone photography involves significant safety and security concerns.
1. Administrative Procedures
Filming on campus requires coordination among multiple departments, including the Public Relations Team, Management Team, and Health & Safety Team. Please be aware of the following:
-External Approval: Since airspace is not under the university’s jurisdiction, you must first apply for and receive flight and filming approval from the relevant government authorities via the official website (Drone One-Stop).
-Limitations: Please note that approvals for personal use may be restricted, and the review process can take a significant amount of time.
-Internal Coordination: Once you obtain official government approval, you must contact the SKKU Public Relations Team (02-760-1145). You must provide the exact filming schedule and purpose so they can request cooperation from the relevant campus departments.
2. Important Notices
-The drone filming application must be completed by the individual (after registering on the official portal).
-As this is for personal use, please understand that the SKKU/GMPA Office cannot provide assistance with the application process.
-Unauthorized drone filming is a legal offense in the Republic of Korea. All legal and civil responsibilities arising from unauthorized filming rest entirely with the individual.

Notice about joining clubs
Hello. everyone!
Some students have asked whether it is possible to join clubs, so I would like to provide some guidance.
At our university, most clubs are mainly run by undergraduate students. Graduate students usually do not join clubs because they are already quite busy keeping up with their academic work.
However, it is possible to participate in club activities as long as it does not interfere with your studies.
Since it is the beginning of the semester, you will see many posters recruiting new club members on bulletin boards around campus. For example, in the Law Building there are bulletin boards on each floor, and there are also bulletin boards across from the 600th Anniversary Building.
Whether graduate students or international students can join depends on each club. Please contact the number listed on the poster to ask directly.
You may also find it helpful to install the Papago app, which can translate Korean posters instantly.
(For example, the women’s basketball club poster I saw yesterday mentioned that both international students and graduate students are welcome.)
Thank you. 🙂

From now on, all communication will be conducted only through phone calls (only for emergencies), Facebook Messenger, or email.
Currently, communication channels are too dispersed, which makes it difficult to respond efficiently. Starting today, we will not be able to respond through any methods other than Facebook Messenger or email (except for emergency phone calls). Please keep this in mind.
1)In truly urgent situations (such as accidents, injuries, or illness), you must call me immediately, regardless of the time or day.
2) Weekdays during office hours (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM):
Please contact us via Facebook Messenger or visit the office in person.
3) After 5:00 PM on weekdays, and on weekends or public holidays:
For non-urgent matters, please try to contact us during weekdays. If you must ask something over the weekend, please send an email.
[email protected]
However, please note that emails on weekends will be checked at designated times, so responses may be delayed. If you need immediate information, please consider asking your classmates or checking the relevant regulations, official websites, or other available resources.
Thank you.

[Professor Kwon’s retirement with our GMPA community]
Dear GMPA Alumni,
Warm greetings to you all.
First of all, thank you so much for joining us at Professor Kwon’s recent retirement ceremony.
As the event was conducted in Korean, we understand it may have been difficult for some of you to fully engage and communicate directly with Professor Kwon, which we truly regret.
To provide another opportunity to celebrate together, we are pleased to announce a special GMPA alumni event on July 16, dedicated to honoring Professor Kwon’s retirement with our GMPA community.
The event will consist of two parts, and we would love for you to participate in the following ways:
1) Graduate Research Presentations
During the second part of the event, we are planning a research presentation session featuring GMPA alumni.
We are accepting three presenters on a first-come, first-served basis.
2) Video Message for Professor Kwon
We are also compiling a video letter to present to Professor Kwon during the event.
Please record a horizontal video (within 1 minute) and send it to us by July 11 (KST).
📬 Submission for both items (1 & 2) should be sent to:
▶ [email protected]
Professor Kwon has shared more than 20 years of meaningful moments with the GMPA community. We hope many of you will join us in celebrating this special occasion together.
We truly look forward to seeing you all again soon.
Warmest regards,
DaSol Lee
