🎉 Public Administration Department End-of-Semester & Graduation Celebration Party🎓

On December 20th, undergraduate and graduate students of Public Administration department came together to mark the end of the semester, share their achievements, and celebrate the upcoming graduation of our seniors. We also had a special session where one of our undergraduate seniors, who interned at Jeonbuk Bank, shared the insights on their internship experience and discussed the necessary qualifications for securing such opportunities.

Last Monday, December 12, students from the Public Administration Department at Sejong University paid a visit to the Seoul Facilities Corporation Expressway Control Center. During the field trip, they learned about how the center monitors and manages the traffic situation on Seoul’s expressways 24/7, ensuring smooth and safe travel for all.

[PHOTOS] Special Lecture on Plastic Pollution - Behavioral Economics and Public Policy class

This Monday, December 2, our students of Behavioral Economics and Public Policy class welcomed Ms Dianna Cohen, Co-Founder and CEO of the Plastic Pollution Coalition, for a special lecture on Plastic Pollution awareness.

Dianna has shared her journey of using plastic bags as her primary medium for over 30 years with the students, giving them a new viewpoint on plastic pollution. Her talk emphasized the far-reaching impacts of plastic—on the environment, wildlife, climate, human health, and social justice. She discussed how plastic pollution is now recognized as a global crisis, and the need for collective action to address its devastating effects, and gave students the chance to raise their voices, their concerns, and provided us with practical answers that would surely help our students in the longer run.

On October 17th at 3 p.m., Public Administration students, both undergraduate and graduate, gathered in Jiphyeon-gwan #303 for a highly anticipated special lecture. We were honored to have Ms. So Ga-young from Korean Public Administration Institute - an expert in international development, as our guest speaker. She delivered an insightful presentation on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), inspiring students with her expertise and global perspective.

Here are some of the feedbacks from our students on the special lecture:

Lam Jia Yi (undergrad): Having a guest is a new experience, where new information and knowledge from another field getting introduced. I'm in for another chance in the future.

Lily (grad school): A helpful session where we learned a lot from. We are eager to join and learn more from opportunities like this

Leo (grad school): The lecture was an interesting platform for students to share ideas regarding Sustainable Development, especially focusing on the current situation.

The event was a great success, with delightful discussions on international policy and sustainable development 🌏👏

On October 29, our Public Administration department students took an eye-opening trip to the Arisu Seoul Water Systems Museum! 💧 From learning about water purification to understanding how sustainable practices support our city’s clean water supply, it was an inspiring experience. 🙌

The Sejong Korean Language and Culture Education Center (kai.quv.kr) runs a Korean thesis proofreading program for foreign graduate students every semester.

We will be accepting applications this semester from October 2nd to December 6th.

Any foreign graduate student at Sejong University who writes a thesis in Korean can apply, so please show your interest!
