Latent TB test information for 2023 NEW FALL EPIK TEACHERS

In Korea, Every teachers and school employees must be tested for latent TB in the beginning of their employment. Latent TB test is different from the one with the X-ray, it is a blood test.

Jeollabukdo Office of Education is providing Latent TB Test to our new EPIK teachers In accordance with Article 4 of the Tuberculosis Prevention Act Enforcement.

▶ Article 4 of the Tuberculosis Prevention Act Enforcement
“For individuals who are newly hired, the first tuberculosis screening or examination must be conducted within one month from the date of their new employment. For individuals who have been absent from work for six months or more due to reasons such as leave or business trips and are returning to work, tuberculosis screening must be conducted within one month from the date of resuming work”

Hello I am back! For those who came to Jeollabukdo this fall (AUG,SEP) 2023, as a new EPIK teacher- You should have received our workshop invitation in Buan. Please complete the application form sent from supervisor Choi by end of this week!

Please ensure that any workshop running by P.O.E is a MANDATORY. Only English centre teachers will have an option to opt out because of their centre schedule but not anyone else working at schools. If you havent received an invitation, please contact your main school to get the link.

★2023. Video Class with Guest English Teachers' Demand Survey★

Hello, This is a survey to start a new video class(화상영어홈클래스) with Guest English Teachers, so it would be appreciated if you could answer sincerely.

1. Video Classes will be held between 17:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday
2. Each class will last 20 minutes
3. Each student should receive two classes (20mins each) per week
4. Guest English Teachers will be paid 10,000 won per 20 minute class.
5. Each class 1:1 (with one student) or 1:2 (with two) or 1:3 (with three) based on students' choice.
*This is a survey so it may not be possible for your request to be fully accomodated*

Survey Period: 2023-Jul-17(Mon) ~ 2023-Jul-21(Fri)

Jeollabukdo Office of Education, JEPIK Coordinator does not typically have the opportunity to watch GETs teach nor have a significant amount of professional involvement with individual GETs. It is thus not possible for us to write a personal LOR and it would be dishonest to do so.
