CMIS Canada - Songdo

CMIS Canada - Songdo CMIS Canada is the first school that is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education, Manitoba Canada.

CMIS is established as a part of the school system of the Ministry of
Education of the Province of Manitoba, and as such, all teachers,
including the principal, of CMIS are Canadian public school teachers
belonging to the Canadian school system. Also, all students are provided
with the same curriculum and granted a diploma upon graduation with the
same qualifications as the students in Canadian

schools. Furthermore,
our students each have their individual Canadian “Manitoba Education and
Training(MET)”, which is equivalent to Korea’s “Student Record”, and
are under the supervision of the Manitoba Ministry of Education. The goal of CMIS is to open a new chapter in Korean education system
with the mission of truly preparing our students as the future global leaders.

On December 15, 2016 CMIS students performed their hearts out for the Annual Winter Concert. Students from grades Kinder to Grade 8 performed a variety of musical content from singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. This year's concert was held at the IGC auditorium giving the students a bigger platform to perform on. The students worked very hard to perform for this night and they all did such an awesome job.

CMIS had the wonderful opportunity in welcoming Karen Golden for the day! Karen is an animated oral story teller who brings stories to life through actions and musical instruments! The junior kindergartens to grade twos, listened and watched Karen tell the story of a little girl who had an adventure in the rain and sang many different songs. The grade threes to sixes, enjoyed a story about a king who grew a horn on his head and learned new science words in a story about trees in a forest! The students even saw Karen play a nose flute! Overall, it was a great experience for our students to learn new and creative ways to tell stories!
