Terry Fox Run was held at our school on September 30th. We walked/ran continuing the spirit of Terry Fox who ran across Canada to raise awareness and money for cancer research.

We sold over 400 T-shirts and donated $2,000 to the Terry Fox Foundation and over 2 million won to the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer.

Thank you all for showing spirit and helping raise funds for cancer research.

CMIS students had a healthy and active start to the new school year through the Health and Safety Week from September 26th-30th!

We got to exercise together during the assembly, learned about how to keep our teeth clean, and practiced how to stay safe in case of a fire emergency.

Let's have a healthy and safe school year everyone! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Class pictures will be taken from May 17th to May 19th. Which class do you think had the most CREATIVE poses?

CMIS Canada proudly welcomes our new Polar Bear Mascot all the way from Friendly Manitoba.

A big shoutout to class 5C for the creative name. Thank you to all the honourable mentions and exceptional ideas for naming our mascot.

Siku is named after the Inuit word for 'ice'. He navigated all the way from across the Pacific Ocean using his small ice flow as a boat. Be on the lookout for Siku! You never know where he will showup!

The naming rights will remain in effect for 1 year (until next Spirit Week).

Please refer to the posted story for more details on Siku.

Itโ€™s that time of year again where our wonderful students give it their all and show us their talents! This year our annual and spectacular CMIS Talent Show will be on February 25, 2022. All traditional talents (playing piano, singing, etc.) are welcomed and encouraged. With that being said, this year, we would also like to encourage those with less conventional talents (reading backwards, cup stacking, etc.) to show us what they got!

This year we will be selecting 14-18 performers for the Talent Show. Auditions will be held from February 7 - 9 and the finalists will be announced on the 11th. Students can sign up to audition through their homeroom teachers. Although we would love to have all the participants perform, we can only have a limited number of performers due to the time constraint and nature of the event. Please do not be discouraged by the selection process. The best things a child can receive from auditioning for a talent show are building up resiliency and developing the mindset to be proud of themselves for trying.

Please note that this event will be live-streamed and recorded. We will communicate further details about the Talent Show closer to the date.
