At SISGLC we believe that all students have a natural hunger to learn and discover. It is our responsibility as educators to provide them with a program, atmosphere and facility where their specific educational needs are met.
SISGLC follows the SIS curriculum which is built upon the Singapore public school curriculum. The curriculum focuses on project based learning through collaboration and self discovery. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning while being guided and mentored by their teachers.
The curriculum we follow integrates 21st century skills that will prepare students for an unpredictable future. We adhere to the following four practices:
P - Perseverance A - Analytical Thinking
C - Collaboration E- Entrepreneurship
PERSEVERANCE. Giving up is not an option and will lead to an outlook in life that giving up is an acceptable option. At SISGLC we encourage students to persevere, to try and try until you succeed.
ANALYTICAL THINKING. Creative problem solving is an important skill which will allow students to function in various job environments. Classes focus on project based learning where students are required to solve problems and complete their projects in creative ways.
COLLABORATION. Being able to function in and contribute to a group is an important skill in any future job. SISGLC provides ample time during classes for students to collaborate in projects and class activities. Learning how to work with and deal with people in a professional manner will benefit students in their future careers.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Creating new opportunities and taking risks will ensure a bright future filled with many possibilities.
