Yesterday, our TCIS learning community had the opportunity to experience the TOK Exhibition Showcase, an event that invited us into the depth and complexity of student thinking.
As part of the IB Diploma Programme, Theory of Knowledge (TOK) challenges students to explore how we know what we claim to know. Through this exhibition, students connected real-world objects to profound questions about knowledge, perspective, evidence, and truth – demonstrating not only what they have learned, but how they think.
Walking through the showcase, it was clear that this was more than an academic exercise. Each learner station reflected careful inquiry, thoughtful reflection, and the ability to engage with complex ideas in meaningful ways. Students discussed viewpoints and communicated their insights with clarity and purpose.
Moments like these remind us that education at TCIS goes beyond answers – it’s about developing thinkers who ask better questions.
We are proud of our students for the depth, courage, and curiosity they brought to their work. This is what it means to Learn, Love, and Lead.

This past week, TCIS had the privilege of hosting the Middle School KIMEA Honors Festival—an inspiring gathering of talented young musicians from international schools across Korea.
Our campus was filled with the sound of collaboration and creativity as students came together to rehearse in small ensembles, participate in large group workshops, and ultimately unite in a full orchestral performance. Each moment reflected not only musical excellence but also the power of shared learning and connection across schools and cultures.
It was especially meaningful to see these students grow together – listening, adapting, and striving toward a common goal. Under the guidance of skilled conductors and educators, they experienced what it truly means to be part of something larger than themselves.
We are grateful to have hosted such an incredible event and to have welcomed so many gifted musicians to our campus. The KIMEA Honors Festival was more than a performance – it was a celebration of dedication, community, and the joy of making music together.

Some events are fun… and some remind you what a school community is truly about.
This past Saturday, “APRIL FUN!” brought our TCIS community together in the best way—sunshine, laughter, water inflatables, and families simply enjoying time with one another. Children ran freely across the field, towels in hand, while parents and friends gathered to share in the moment.
Throughout the day, students stepped onto the stage to sing, play, and perform—met with encouragement and applause from a community that celebrates each other. It was more than just entertainment; it was a reflection of confidence, belonging, and joy.
Beyond the fun, there was a deeper purpose. Every moment of the day contributed to the continued growth and advancement of TCIS, helping create even more opportunities for our students to learn and thrive.
To everyone who came, supported, and made the day so meaningful—thank you.
This is TCIS.
This is what it looks like to Learn • Love • Lead together as a "school family."

This morning, our Grade 5 students took an exciting step toward their PYP Exhibition, sharing their final rehearsals with students from Grades 1–4.
It was a meaningful moment for everyone involved—our Grade 5 students had the opportunity to refine their presentations and build confidence, while younger students got a special preview of what lies ahead in their own learning journey. The energy, curiosity, and sense of purpose in the room were truly inspiring.
The PYP Exhibition is a culminating experience in the IB Primary Years Programme, where students engage in an in-depth, collaborative inquiry into real-world issues that matter to them. Through research, critical thinking, and action, students explore complex topics, develop solutions, and share their learning in creative and meaningful ways. It is a powerful reflection of their growth—not only academically, but as globally-minded learners ready to make a difference.
Now, we look ahead to the main event.
We warmly invite our community to join us this Thursday evening for the official PYP Exhibition, where our Grade 5 students will showcase the full scope of their learning, inquiry, and creativity. You won’t want to miss the depth of thinking and passion behind their work—it’s sure to impress.

Preparing students for the future goes far beyond the classroom, and our recent Career & Community Day 2026 was a powerful reflection of that.
Centered around the theme “The Human Advantage in the Age of AI,” the day challenged students to think deeply about their future paths, the evolving world of work, and the unique role they will play within it.
We were honored to welcome our keynote speaker, Mr. Shayne Fitz-Coy, co-founder of Sabot Family Companies, who brought a global perspective shaped by his work in investment, education, and leadership across both the United States and Korea. His insights encouraged students to think boldly about opportunity, purpose, and long-term impact.
Our session speakers also offered incredible depth and inspiration. Dr. Inhi Kim, Associate Professor at KAIST, shared his work in advanced mobility and AI, emphasizing the importance of human-centered innovation and decision-making in an increasingly automated world.
Meanwhile, Mr. Daniel Hong, a ministry leader and seasoned professional with experience in global policy, business, and youth mentorship, spoke about discovering purpose through both faith and vocation.
Outside, students had the opportunity to talk with many groups representing a wide variety of fields. They learned what each industry was about, as well as the educational paths involved in approaching those careers.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day came through our student mentoring sessions, where Grade 12 students sat down with Grade 6 students to share their journeys – offering honest reflections, encouragement, and practical advice. These conversations helped younger students begin to see the road ahead with greater clarity and confidence.
More than just a series of talks, the day was about preparation – equipping students with the mindset, awareness, and inspiration they need to navigate their future with purpose.
At TCIS, this is what it means to Learn, Love, and Lead.

Last Thursday evening, the TCIS community gathered for a truly special occasion – the opening reception of our Senior Art Exhibition.
The PAC Foyer was transformed into a gallery of creativity and expression, showcasing the culmination of our seniors’ two-year artistic journeys. Each piece told a story of growth, exploration, identity, and the dedication it takes to bring an idea to life. From concept to final display, these works reflect not only technical skill but courage, perspective, and passion.
It was a beautiful evening of celebration, as students, families, and faculty came together to honor the hard work and creativity of our senior artists. Moments like these remind us that learning is not confined to traditional classroom settings – it is lived, expressed, and shared in powerful ways.
For those who were unable to attend, the exhibition will remain on display in the PAC Foyer over the next couple of weeks. We warmly invite you to stop by, take your time, and experience the incredible work of our seniors firsthand.
Congratulations to our senior artists on this outstanding achievement.

Speed, creativity, and discovery all came together in an unforgettable CO₂ Rocket Car & PBL Showcase last week at TCIS.
The excitement was undeniable as students launched their CO₂-powered cars down the track – each run met with cheers, anticipation, and the thrill of seeing their designs come to life. Measuring speed and analyzing performance wasn’t just about numbers; it was about applying learning in real, tangible ways.
Beyond the races, the showcase highlighted the depth of student learning throughout the unit. From design thinking and scientific investigation to communication and humanities, as well as art, students proudly shared the outcomes of their integrated work. Every project told a story of creativity, problem-solving, and growth.
Moments like these capture what learning looks like at TCIS – hands-on, collaborative, and deeply meaningful. When students have the opportunity to explore, create, and present, they don’t just learn… they own their learning.
A powerful example of what it means to learn, love, and lead.

There’s something special about a field full of laughter, movement, and shared moments—and this year’s Elementary Athletics Day was exactly that.
Under the afternoon sun, our TCIS Sports Field came alive with energy as students jumped, ran, cheered, and encouraged one another through a series of creative and engaging activities. What made the day even more meaningful was the leadership of our Grade 5 students, who thoughtfully planned and ran each event. From start to finish, they guided their younger peers with confidence, care, and enthusiasm—an inspiring example of what it means to lead.
As the afternoon unfolded, the entire elementary community came together for large group games, where the focus wasn’t just on winning, but on participation, joy, and connection. Laughter echoed across the field as friendships grew stronger and students discovered the simple joy of being active together.
At TCIS, days like this remind us that education goes far beyond the classroom. It’s found in teamwork, in encouragement, and in the shared experiences that help students grow—not only as learners, but as a community.
A day full of movement, a field full of smiles, and a community that continues to learn, love, and lead together.
