The second day of the Woosong Culture Expo brought even more color and excitement to campus, with students from India, Indonesia, Armenia, Vietnam, China, Korea, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan showcasing their traditional food, outfits, and cultural displays.

A lively talent show added to the atmosphere, with students sharing their music and dance performances.

The first day of the Woosong Culture Expo was filled with amazing energy across the campus. Despite the weather inconveniences, it didn’t stop our students and participants from enjoying the event to the fullest.

Student representatives from Nepal, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Bangladesh showcased their traditional food, clothing, music, and stories in their booths, offering something unique and meaningful to their peers. The atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of connection.

There was also a talent show where students competed with music and dance performances.

An incredible start to a celebration of culture, color, and community at Woosong.

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 – 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞

Woosong University, a collaborative member of Babson College, will host the local round of the 2026 Global Student Challenge to select the teams that will represent the Woosong in the global phase.
Participants will assess the feasibility of a new business concept that addresses one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Earlier this November, Endicott College hosted its Job Fair with 12 companies on campus. Students received career and visa consulting from experts, free professional headshots, and interview-ready makeup sessions helping them prepare for success in their future careers.

Woosong University is very proud to announce that on November 1st, 2025, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kim Sung Kyung, Honorary Chairman of the Woosong Educational Foundation, was awarded the Order of “Dostyk” II degree for his contributions to the development of Kazakhstan’s higher education sector. The award was presented by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek.

This year was special as it marked the opening of Woosong University Kazakhstan in Turkistan. During the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude to Kim Sung Kyung for establishing a branch of Woosong University in Turkistan, which meets advanced global standards in education.

This achievement reflects the strengthening of strategic collaboration between the two countries. We are proud and honored to be part of this milestone and look forward to the continued success and greater achievements of Woosong University Kazakhstan and Woosong University.

Woosong University’s Student Council hosted “Neul Together”, bringing Korean and international students together to share culture, food, and performances. The festival featured busking, global games, a song contest, and a cozy cinema night. Students also enjoyed booths with international foods and traditional games, celebrating unity through diversity.

Additionally, SolBridge students and teams from 14 countries showcased the stories of their nations, highlighting creativity and cultural pride. The event also marked the 71st Anniversary of the Woosong Foundation, honoring our commitment to global education and excellence.

Woosong University is honored to be included in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026. We are grateful to once again be recognized as #1 in South Korea for International Outlook for the second consecutive year, and ranked #30 nationally.

Woosong has also been placed in the 1201–1500 band globally, marking the second year the university has received this recognition. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our students, faculty, and staff, as well as the continued support of our global partners.

As we move forward, Woosong University remains committed to advancing academic innovation, strengthening global engagement, and providing a forward-thinking educational experience that empowers our students to become global leaders.
