🚀 STEM in Action at Daegu Middle High School 🤖📐
In early May, students participated in a six-class collaboration between the robotics program and math department, turning classroom concepts into real-world problem-solving.

Working in teams, students designed custom mazes and programmed autonomous robots to navigate them using precise calculations. From measuring distances and angles to converting those calculations into movement commands, they saw firsthand how math drives engineering.

When challenges arose, students refined both their calculations and code—mirroring the real engineering design process.

💡 The result? A hands-on STEM experience where math and robotics came together to build critical thinking, collaboration and innovation.

As begins, now is a great time for students and families to prepare for a successful start to the new school year.

The Department of War Education Activity is implementing updated expectations for personal electronic devices in schools. To support focused, engaging, and safe learning environments, students will be expected to keep personal devices—including phones, smartwatches, tablets, and similar electronics—silenced and stored during the school day.

Exceptions remain in place for medical needs, 504 plans, special education services, and approved instructional activities.

Families can help by discussing these expectations before the first day of school and reinforcing the importance of staying engaged in learning while at school. Thank you for partnering with us to create classrooms where every student can thrive.
