Check out the latest in domestic and international tea and crafts at this unique exhibition.

The 2024 Busan Folk Arts Festival will be held at Busan Citizens Park, Dasom Square, on October 26 and 27.

This festival is the largest celebration of Busan’s intangible cultural heritage and offers the public an opportunity to experience the region’s rich folk art traditions firsthand.

Event Overview
Under the theme “Wind, Wind, Wind (Autumn Wind, Folk Wind, Shoulder Wind),” the festival will kick off with an opening ceremony on October 26 at 1:30 p.m.

Over the two days, visitors can enjoy a diverse array of performances and participate in traditional experiences, all aimed at promoting Busan’s intangible cultural assets.

The experiential events will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

A stamp tour and various other programs will also be available, with opportunities to receive souvenirs for participation.

While most events are free, some activities, like kite making and traditional jewelry crafting, have a nominal participation fee of 1,000 KRW.

The 42nd UN Nam-gu Oryukdo Love Walking Competition, hosted and organized by the Busan Nam-gu Sports Association and sponsored by Nam-gu District Office will take place on October 26.

This popular event will lead participants on a scenic 5.5 km walking course, beginning at the Busan Environmental Corporation Southern Business Office Plaza, passing through the Igidae Coastal Trail, and concluding at the Baekunpo Sports Park Ground Golf Course.

The walk is expected to take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Before the walking event kicks off, starting at noon, participants can enjoy various activities at experience booths, including water tattoos featuring popular characters.

The official opening ceremony will begin at 2 p.m., with a special participatory performance to highlight the residents’ call for the relocation of the Industrial Bank of Korea to Busan, specifically Nam-gu.

At the finish line in Baekunpo Sports Park, attendees can look forward to an energetic dance performance that spans all generations, followed by a prize drawing event with prizes.

The 3rd Hapcheon Hwangmaesan Silver Grass Festival is now open, running through October 13 at Hwangmaesan County Park.

Visitors can enjoy the sight of silver grass gently moving in the wind, covering the mountain in broad swathes and showcasing the natural beauty of the autumn season.

Located at the border of Gahoe-myeon, Daebyeong-myeon, and Chahwang-myeon, Hwangmaesan Mountain stands at 1,113 meters.

Despite its height, it is accessible, with parking available at 850 meters. The flat paths through the silver grass fields make it easy for visitors of all ages to explore the area. The mountain’s fall landscape, highlighted by blooming silver grass, draws tourists every year.

The event also includes cultural activities, a picnic zone, local product markets, and photo spots.

For added convenience, the festival offers guided tours, mobility assistance, and a shuttle bus service on holidays.

BIFF Everywhere
BIFF Everywhere is a community-friendly film festival that is enjoyed in everyday life. BIFF Everywhere connects regions, cultures, generations, and the future. Some of the venues include Hwangnyeongsan Mt. Beacon Fire Station Outdoor Park, one of Busan’s top night view spots; Millak Waterfront Park in Suyeong-gu; and Bongsan Village in Yeongdo, which all evoke the excitement of discovering a travel destination while showcasing Busan’s hidden charms.
