Many students are Confused about D2-1 and D2-2 visa.
D2-1 is for associate degree and D2-2 is for Undergraduate( 4 year degree). Don’t jump before knowing the visa details. In D2-1 you can’t apply for dependent visa of your spouse and after 2 years you have to change your university and your visa status. Get detailed information before applying.

How Korean Language Track(D2Visa) and Korean Language (D4 visa ) is different.
Most of you are confused about language programs and korean language track.
Language Track (D2 visa)
1. University degree Undergraduate or Graduate.
2. Requirements of TOPIK ( at least level3)
3. You can call your dependent after 6 months.
4. Can do part time job legally after getting permit from immigration.
5. University Students.
visa (Korean language program)
1. This visa is for students who wish to learn korean language before entering university.
2. D4 visa holders are not university students but students of university affiliated language school.
4. Cannot bring dependent in this visa.
5. Must live in korea for 6 months inorder to do part time job legally and must have TOPIK level 2.
I recommend you guys to come in D4 visa ( korean language program) because this program help you to learn about Korean culture and environment which can help you to find better life after in korea.

Change in Immigration Rules for International Students that I observed after I enter Korea from beginning of 2017
1. Restrictions of Working in Manufacturing and Construction Industry from September 2017
2. Introduced Rules of requirement of language proficiency in order to get work permit.( September 2018)
• Without Language proficiency you can get permit but you cannot work long hours comparing to students having language proficiency (exactly half working hours)
3. Restrictions of dependents for D4( language trainee) and D2-1 ( associate degree) from September 2018
4. Introduced Points System for D-10 ( job seeking) Visa.
5. Start giving part time work permit for students in Manufacturing industry if they have TOPIK Level 4.
6. Introduced mandatory National Insurance policy for international students from march 2021.
