⛵ WELCOME TO THE NASC FLEET, ZET! 💚

We are incredibly proud and excited to welcome our newest RS Feva to the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center, generously donated by the family of the late Seth “Zet” Foster.

Named ZET in his honour, this beautiful boat is much more than a new addition to our fleet. It is a lasting tribute to a man who loved Nevis deeply and believed in the people and community that made this island so special to him.

Seth was truly one of a kind. He lived life with a spirit of adventure, collected more stories than most of us could tell in a lifetime, and had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and a smile to the people around him. From playing steel pan and opening for artists such as Bob Dylan, to serving in the U.S. Navy, owning businesses and contributing to projects across Nevis, Seth lived a life full of experiences.

But perhaps what meant the most to him was Nevis and its people.

Yesterday, ZET was rigged for the very first time by NASC sailors and members of Seth’s family. It was a particularly special moment to see his family there, helping prepare a boat that will now carry his name onto the waters of Nevis and into the hands of the next generation.

Seth’s family wanted to honour his memory in a way that would continue the love he had for this island and its young people. We cannot think of a more fitting tribute.

From this day forward, young sailors will climb aboard ZET, learn to sail, discover the ocean, build friendships, chase adventures and create stories of their own.

And perhaps, somewhere along the way, they will hear a story or two about the lovable grump whose name is proudly carried on the side of their boat. ❤️

Thank you to Seth’s family for this incredibly generous and meaningful gift to NASC and to the youth of Nevis.

May the adventurous spirit of Seth “Zet” Foster sail on for generations to come. ⛵💚

WEEK 2 of the Seth Zet Foster Summer Swim Camps!

We are absolutely blown away by the progress we’ve seen over these past two weeks! To watch children who were brand new to the water arrive at camp and now confidently swim long distances is truly incredible. The progress is REAL! 💙

This camp is more than just learning to swim. It is building confidence, creating new skills, and giving our children something that can stay with them for a lifetime.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our amazing sponsors and to the family of the late Seth Foster, whose generosity and support have helped make this special camp possible. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible team of swim instructors, our Camp Director LaToya, and of course, to all of the amazing children and parents who registered and trusted us with their little swimmers. 🙏🏽

🌊☀️ Seth Foster Summer Swim Camp FUN! 🏊‍♀️⛵️

Last week was full of swimming, learning, laughter and adventure at the Seth Foster Summer Swim Camp! Our young swimmers worked hard in the water, developing their skills, building confidence and becoming stronger swimmers each day.

And then we took the fun out onto the water! ⛵️ After their swim lessons, the children got the chance to go sailing and experience another exciting part of life on the water.

We are so proud of how much these young swimmers have developed, and we are thrilled to see them enjoying new challenges and discovering just how much they can do!

TEAM SKN HAS ITS FIRST GOODWILL MEDAL!

A huge congratulations to Teadrian Tross, who has taken BRONZE in the Boys 11–12 50m Freestyle with a fantastic 27.40 - a new personal best!

What a fantastic achievement for Teadrian, who raced hard and earned his place on the podium.

And what a moment for St. Kitts & Nevis, as SKNAF celebrates its historic first appearance at the Goodwill Swimming Championships.

We are incredibly proud of you, Teadrian!

This medal is a reflection of the hard work of our swimmers, coaches, families, clubs and everyone who continues to support the development of swimming in St. Kitts & Nevis.

A LITTLE GOODWILL FUN FACT…

This is a short-course competition, with the competition course configured to 25 metres. That means our swimmers will be turning more often than they would in a 50m long-course race so those walls, push-offs and underwater skills are going to be BIG today!

SETH ‘ZET’ FOSTER SUMMER SWIM CAMP 2026

Week 1 of our two-week Seth Foster Summer Swim Camp is well underway!

Each morning, young swimmers of various ages and skill levels are taking to the water, developing their swimming skills, building confidence, and challenging themselves to become stronger, safer swimmers. 💦

We’re so grateful for our amazing coaches, who continue to encourage and challenge every swimmer while helping them grow in confidence in the water. 💙

A special THANK YOU to the family of Seth Foster for supporting young Nevisians and helping provide them with the opportunity to learn this essential life skill. 🙏🏽

And yes… every camper received their very own swim cap and goggles! 🏊🏽‍♂️🥽

An incredible finish for St. Kitts & Nevis at the ILCA 4 Youth Worlds 2026 in Aarhus, Denmark!

Standing on a global stage alongside 448 elite sailors from 51 nations is a monumental achievement for Abhijith Srinivasan, proudly representing the St. Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association (SKNSA) and the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center (NASC). Competing at this world-class level is a staggering jump in scale from our regional Caribbean fleets. In our region, athletes must fight twice as hard to overcome a systemic lack of high-performance resources, specialized infrastructure, and training manpower.

Against these odds, Abhijith placed 271st overall, highlighted by a brilliant 28th-place finish in one of his final races. Watching him step into this high-pressure environment, adapt rapidly, and hold his own against the world’s best is a true testament to his grit, resilience, and immense potential.

Coach Nicholas Dupre and Coach Nickhail Rogers trusted that Abhijith was ready for this next major leap, and their vision propelled him to the starting line. Special thanks to coaches Niels and Kristoff whose insights during the training helped Abhijith move forward.

Throughout the regatta, Abhijith showed up, persisted, and fought with confidence every single day. He transformed mistakes into masterclasses; sharpening his tactics, listening intently, observing the field, and asking the right questions to elevate his strategy.

Our sailors were also incredibly fortunate to be mentored by three world-class Olympians: Andrew Lewis, Bruno Fontes, and Eduardo Marques. We are deeply grateful for their time and immense dedication. Their distinct personalities and unique talents complemented each other perfectly, providing invaluable guidance.

Representing St. Kitts & Nevis on the CAC Games Stage in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

After four demanding days of racing at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, Amadi has completed his first appearance at one of the region’s premier sporting events, proudly representing St. Kitts & Nevis.

Competing against some of the Caribbean and Central America’s best sailors, including Olympians and World Champions, Amadi gained invaluable experience at an exceptionally high level of competition.

Coach Nicholas Dupre said Amadi came out fighting from the very beginning. In the opening races, he surprised himself by finishing ahead of several sailors who had previously beaten him at international regattas. As the championship progressed, the experience and consistency of the fleet became evident, giving Amadi a clear understanding of the level required to compete at this stage.

“This was a really positive first CAC Games experience,” said Coach Dupre. “Amadi put in a real fight all week. He showed that he can compete with sailors he had not expected to challenge, and he leaves with valuable lessons that will help him continue to improve.”

The regatta was raced in extremely tough conditions with strong winds and rough seas. Several competitors required medical attention during the event, highlighting just how physically demanding the racing was. Amadi battled hard through every race, picked up a few bruises, and showed determination and resilience from start to finish.

For both Amadi and Coach Dupre, the championship was an important learning experience. Racing and coaching at this level provided valuable insight that will strengthen not only Amadi’s future performances but also the continued development of sailing in St. Kitts & Nevis.

Representing your country at the CAC Games is a tremendous achievement, and this experience marks another important step in Amadi’s sailing journey. We are proud of his commitment, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the week and look forward to seeing his continued growth.
