The Nevis Sixth Form College was established in 1980 under the late Honourable Dr. Simeon Daniel, the first Premier of Nevis.

The
Premier established the College in hope that every Nevisian leaving High/Secondary School may have an opportunity at a quality start to tertiary level education.

We are happy to announce two scholarship opportunities for students who are registered at the Nevis Sixth Form:

1. The John E. Howell Memorial Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. This scholarship is intended to give an opportunity to an academically deserving student with a financial need who otherwise would have found it difficult to attend college. The scholarship is open to both 1st year and 2nd year students. Please ensure that you submit the required documents to [email protected] by October 1, 2024. Please see the attached document for the application requirements. Please scan the QR code attached for the application guidelines.

2. The RUSVM Scholarship Program 2024-2025. Students are asked to complete the application online and submit the supplementary documents via email by October 14th, 2024. Students can apply here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2024RUSVMSCHOLARSHIP. Any questions and supplementary documents should be sent to [email protected].
There are at least two guaranteed scholarships for students from the Nevis Sixth Form. This scholarship covers expenses related to attending Sixth Form. There is also an opportunity for a Summer internship. Please see the attached RUSVM Scholarship poster for the application guidelines.

One weekend ago, on the 1st - 3rd of March, 2024, the Nevis Literary and Debating Society of the Nevis Sixth Form College valiantly competed in the prestigious Leeward Islands Debating Competition. It is with great pride that we announce that Team Nevis, has successfully captured the coveted title of the 2024 LIDC champions! Our laudable performance not only included three debate victories but also three best speaker awards.

We express sincere gratitude to the general public, but especially our platinum, gold, silver and bronze sponsors depicted in the attached picture. Your immeasurable support has truly catapulted us to this victory.

The 47th Annual Leeward Islands Debating Competition will be held from Wednesday, 27th February to Monday, 4th March, 2019 in Antigua.

The following persons will represent the Nevis Literary & Debating Society:

Ms. Dahlia Slack Mr. Zidan Wilkin Mr. Patrice Nisbett II

Team Nevis left the island today to participate in the competition and will be debating in the semi – finals (night 3) (debate 4) on Saturday 2nd March, 2019. The moot for that debate is “The lack of trust in our own people is the main reason why the majority of CARICOM states are yet to adopt the Caribbean Court of Justice as their final court of appeal.”

The winner of night 3 - debate 4 will compete in the finals on Sunday 3rd March, 2019. The moot for that debate is “Caribbean countries have not done enough to afford the LGBTQ (Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Q***r) community the same legal rights and protections as other citizens.”
Team Nevis returns on Monday 4th March, 2019.

ORIENTATION for NEW STUDENTS will take place on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th, September from 9 a.m. - 12 noon daily.

ALL Year 1 students must be present and punctual. Dress appropriately/modestly. No short pants, no sleeveless and no revealing clothing allowed.
