๐น๐น CHS STUDENTS TAKE THEIR TALENTS TO TRINIDAD! ๐๐ฝ๐ญโ๏ธ
On Sunday, 6th September, a group of our talented Theatre Arts and Dance students departed St. Kitts for Trinidad and Tobago, where they will participate in a series of educational dance and theatre workshops facilitated by the Secondary Schools Dance Educators Association of Trinidad and Tobago (SSDEATT) in collaboration with IBIS TT Performers.
This exciting opportunity will allow our students to move beyond the classroom and learn directly from regional dance and theatre practitioners through structured, practical training. The workshops will focus on developing their technical and expressive skills, practical performance techniques, story building and storytelling, while also strengthening their preparation for their CSEC Theatre Arts/Dance School-Based Assessments (SBAs).
More than preparation for an examination, this experience provides our students with an opportunity to learn, perform, collaborate and grow. Through interaction with professional performers and fellow creatives, they will gain greater confidence, broaden their artistic perspectives and experience the richness of regional cultural exchange.
At Cayon High School, we continue to believe that education extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. Opportunities such as these allow our students to discover their talents, develop their craft and see where their gifts can take them.
We wish our students and accompanying teachers, Mrs. Neckles (Organizer and Theatre Arts Teacher) and Mr. Manners (Visual Arts Teacher), a productive, inspiring and enjoyable experience in Trinidad and Tobago. Take in every lesson, embrace every opportunity and represent Cayon High School and St. Kitts and Nevis with pride! ๐ฐ๐ณ๐๐
Continue to learn. Continue to create. Continue to SOAR, Falcons!
