On Friday May 7, 2021, the Guidance and Counselling Department of the Washington Archibald High School held its inaugural Mother-Daughter Panel Discussion and Seminar entitled "Just Between Us." The evening’s conversation included topics such as Strengthening the Mother-Daughter Relationship and Building your Daughter's Self-Worth and Self-Esteem.

Moderated by Ms. Naeemah Hazelle, the panel featured Mother-Daughter duos to include: Mrs. Pearl Willams and her daughter Dominique Williams, Mrs. Camile Bruno-Audain and her daughter Cam-Ronn Audain and Ms.Thamesha Fyfield and her daughter Bryanna Edwards.

The overall aim of this pilot program was to provide mothers and daughters an intimate setting in which they could connect on a personal level and share candidly, as a source of inspiration to each other. This engagement solidified the importance of the mother-daughter relationship and how it affects a young girl's overall identity, sense of self-worth and self-esteem. Overall, the evening was filled with much love and bonding.

The next phase of this initiative will address the importance of the father-son relationship as the cornerstone of our community.

The Washington Archibald High School joins in the humanitarian effort to help our brothers and sisters in St. Vincent & the Grenadines as they continue to suffer from the continuous eruptions of the La Soufriere Volcano.

This past week, on behalf of our staff and students, we made a donation of non-perishable food items. This is a part of our benevolent mission; Project H.O.P.E - Helping Other People Elevate

Over the next two weeks we are asking for each student to bring a non-perishable food item which will also be donated to the cause.
