𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬, 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞

National Bank was proud to continue its partnership with 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐭. 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐬 through our third JA in a Day session, this time at 𝐓𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.

Our staff, 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐬 and 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭, engaged students in an interactive and engaging session focused on entrepreneurship, teamwork, innovation, problem-solving, and financial awareness. Through meaningful discussions and hands-on learning, students were encouraged to think creatively, work collaboratively, and build skills that will serve them well into the future.

We are grateful to Junior Achievement St. Kitts & Nevis for the opportunity to continue making a positive impact in the lives of our nation's young people. Together, we are helping to empower the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰

Our JA in a Day journey with Junior Achievement St. Kitts & Nevis continued at 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, where 𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭 explored entrepreneurship with the students; what it means to be an entrepreneur, what business owners do, and how they impact society. The students then put those ideas into practice, working in groups to brainstorm and advertise their own business concepts.

Each group also designed a robot to solve a real need in society. Ms. Hewlett highlighted “The results were very interesting, and showed that even at their young age, the students showed a keen awareness of issues around them.” One memorable design was a robot built to support the elderly to help with chores and the help curb loneliness.

The students then worked together to build a solar-powered car, learning the value of following instructions and collaborating as a team.

It was a rewarding experience and Ms. Hewlett reported that she hopes it was as impactful to them as it was for her because she enjoyed the session.
