We are ready again to take the stage and take back the crown!!

Meet our WILDCAT QUEEN and this year’s representative in the National Carnival Talented Teen Pageant, Miss Shanika Johnson👑👑

Miss WAHS - Shanika Johnson

Grace, humility, charm — these distinct qualities define the spirit of a true Wildcat. It is therefore no surprise that Shanika Johnson embodies each of these traits.

Born on the 11th of November 2004, Shanika has always known that God placed her on this earth for a purpose. Her faith has served as the driving force behind all of her endeavors and has equipped her to face any adversity with strength and determination.

This vivacious 15-year-old hails from the Washington Archibald High School, a prestigious institution where her knowledge and skills are cultivated daily. This proud 4a3 student understands the value of education and has undertaken 8 subjects in pursuance of her goals.

A multifaceted individual by nature, Shanika is also a talented dancer. She trains diligently in hopes of honing her technique and achieving her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She also excels in track & field and has been afforded the honour of winning a 1st place award at Inter Primary in 2016.

In her spare time, Shanika dabbles in the arts of cosmetology, fashion and music. In addition to these, she also spends time crafting content for her YouTube channel. She is guided by the mantra, "Believe in yourself and anything is possible," a true testament of her self-assurance. She is aware of the damage being done to the self-esteem of her fellow teenagers in this digital age and hopes that her videos may instill confidence in whoever views them.

Shanika feel privileged to have been crowned Miss Washington Archibald High School 2019-2020, where she won the awards for Best Talent and Best Interview. She is a proud ambassador for her school and cannot wait to represent the institution in this year's Miss National Talented Teen Pageant.

The wildcats are definately gonna double up the wins this carnival!👑👑

ST. KITTS! Please help give a round of a applause to our very own Miss St. Kitts Anya Seetahal a contestant of This years #HaynesSmithMissCaribbeanTalentedTeenInternational.

15 years ago, on May 19th 2003, a blooming flower graced this world, known as Anya Seetahal.

I currently reside in the peaceful neighborhood of Greenlands Basseterre.

I am a contented and exemplary wildcat of 3a1 at the Washington Archibald High School, where I hold a stellar record of being on the principal's list three times and maintaining a position on the honor roll every term. I am presently studying 9 subjects, but I am particularly passionate about Mathematics.

I am a gifted dancer and I have been dancing from a very tender age. To further develop my skills, I have been attending dance class for 9 years and is currently a member of the renowned Children's Dance Theatre. In 2014, I won the dance segment of the Rotary Talent Search competition. I am also a vibrant member of the Washington Archibald High School's cheerleading team. With my passion for dance, I am determined to hone my skills and also help others in this area of the arts. When I am not studying, dancing or performing, I spend my time reading, surfing the web and listening to music.

I would describe myself as diligent, helpful, kind and versatile. With these qualities I know I am a well rounded person.

I have not decided on my future career aspirations as yet but I believe that my life’s motto will help me succeed in any future endeavor: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.

T’SHAUNTE SMITH: Washington Archibald High School:

On June 10th 2003, a rose began to bloom. I am 15 year old T’shaunte Jahliya Smith, a 4A1 student of the prestigious Washington Archibald High School.

Throughout my educational journey, I have always strived for academic excellence by maintaining an average which allowed me to consistently place on the school’s honour roll. Additionally, my love for the sport of netball has afforded me the opportunity to represent my school in the annual Department of Sports High Schools Competition.

My quiet demeanor often disguises my true comedic and creative nature, to the astonishment of those around me. Like a true Gemini, there is more to me than meets the eye.

My love for the art of dance, which started at the tender age of four, has grown immensely. Aristotle said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. This is why I believe that a marriage between academics and the arts allows for a more rounded individual. My interests extend further, however, as I can often be found in the kitchen trying out new baking techniques or engaging in various aspects of cosmetology.

My future goal is to become an internationally recognized architect as my work would be an indelible mark of my existence. This is why I embody the mantra, “Live today, and be remembered tomorrow.”
