The School was housed in the Trinity Church Hall for many years. In 1989, Hurricane Hugo destroyed the building. The school was divided into sections. Students of grades three through six sheltered in Verchild's All Age School while infants stayed in the Palmetto Point Community Centre. In 1992, the new school building was erected and both sections of the school moved to the new location in Boyd’s

. The School was official opened on May 28th, 1992 and got its name from a nurse named Bronte Welsh from Boyd’s Village who housed clinic in her home for the benefit of her community. POPULATION
Currently there are 111 students enrolled in the school. So far we have had eight (8) Head Teacher/Principals who have all contributed tremendously to the success that the school has had over the years.
