"To improve the lives of persons with disabilities through advocacy, education, peer support and service” The St. Kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities is an organization dedicated to the advancement of people with disabilities.

The association was formed to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities, to ensure that we are not marginalized or in any way left out of the nation’s development plans. [12/03/20]   Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities as we celebrate under The theme for 2020 “Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World”.

[11/18/20]   Good morning, all.
Kindly permit me to pay my final and parting respects to the deceased – Ms. Doris Joseph - whose funeral service will be held today – Wednesday 18th November, 2020 – at the Wesleyan Holiness Church
along Cayon Street. Viewing of the body begins at 1:00 p.m. and the service starts at 2:00 p.m. SHARP.
Ms. Doris Joseph was a very polite individual who wore a bright and uplifting smile on her friendly face even when she was sound asleep - so I was told. It was customary for Doris to burst into episodes of loud laughter when you were dialoguing with her. Apparently, nothing could easily get her angry because she will either stop listening to you even while looking at you or she would say “Let’s move on”.
Doris – as she was affectionately called – was willing to share her time with us. She had a great passion in telling stories and sharing her food some of which she cooked.
Our friend Doris, you will be dearly missed by us. Nevertheless, sleep on until the MASTER comes.
Please remember in your prayers her relatives – particularly, her children and grandchildren.
Doris, goodbye and we would meet again on the other side of life “When we get to glory land”. Amen.

Concerns about new terminal

07/01/2020

St. kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities

The work that is going on at the west line bus terminal is a much needed upgrade but i'm afraid that there has been a grave omission from the upgrade. There is no accessible features(i.e. ramps) built into this project. People with mobility issues still has to wait in traffic to catch a bus putting us at risk of getting hurt or worst. The members of the St. Kitts Nevis Association of Persons with Disabilities (https://www.facebook.com/snapd.advocates/) is asking for this to be rectified before the completion
