On 25 May 2026, ParagonU’s Department of Architecture hosted an inspiring Alumni Workshop featuring ARC alumnus, Mr. Vathana Meng. He shared valuable insights from his professional journey, highlighting how his academic foundation shaped his career and success in design competitions.

The session went beyond basic rendering techniques, exploring how visualization serves as a powerful tool for storytelling, atmosphere creation, and communication. Students also gained perspectives on the growing role of AI-assisted tools and the essential skills needed in today’s creative industry.

The Department of Architecture is excited to host the upcoming Alumni Workshop, “𝑨𝒓𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏." Architectural presentation is far more than just rendering an image. It is about crafting an immersive narrative, evoking emotion, and effectively communicating a design's purpose.

Meet ParagonU Alumnus, 𝑴𝒓. 𝑽𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒈, currently a visual creative editor. With his industry experience in architectural media and visual design, Vathana will share the workflows, mindset, and storytelling techniques required to bring architectural concepts to life.

Participants will gain industry insight in digital presentation and practice an exercise on how to generate visualization from 3D to rendering with an AI assistant in the ParagonU High Performance Lab.

[𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧]

ARC302 – Architectural Design Studio IV allows students to design a mixed-use high-rise building. Through this project, students explore vertical circulation strategies and experiment with form across multiple spatial conditions, expressing their creativity in complex urban scenarios.

In this student project, The Vine Tower is envisioned as an evolving vertical ecosystem inspired by Kampot’s mountains and salt fields, rotated for natural airflow, wrapped in a vine-like façade that reflects light like salt crystals, and designed with flexible spaces that adapt over time. It stands as a breathing landmark of resilience, cultural identity, and sustainable growth in the city’s changing landscape.

These urban utopias reflect present-day urban challenges while projecting speculative futures, offering insights into how young architecture students foresee the city’s transformation.
