At Treehouse International School, creating a safe place is important. We are serious about putting an end to bullying!
This year, our High School Campus showed our support for anti-bullying in the following ways:
Monday: we wore red for respect
Tuesday: we wore odd socks to celebrate diversity
Wednesday: we showed kindness and forgiveness by writing anonymous apologies
Show your support for Anti-Bullying Week by letting us know how you stood up against bullying this week.
Stay kind! Choose respect over hatred.

𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 - 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆
Our focus today was about students understanding their responsibility of leading by example. The Early Years students had some special visitors from the Year 5 and 6 class to read the students a story about how we can use our hands for kindness.
In Primary, the students were treated to read aloud videos by two high school students who read books about respecting our differences.
We have pledged to remember the lessons from this week: have compassion and care towards others, reach out to others and help them, and most importantly - make the right decision and CHOOSE RESPECT.

𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 - 𝗢𝗱𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆
Today, we continued our focus on respect. To celebrate and reinforce yesterday’s lesson we created anti-bullying themed clothes to show our unique styles. This activity helped students appreciate their own individuality while learning the importance of respecting others’ differences. It’s a wonderful way to visually express the students commitment to being kind and inclusive.

𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 - 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁
Today, we kicked off Anti-Bullying Week with an important discussion on the theme: 𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩! The students explored the meaning of respect and the importance of being kind to one another. The older students acted in different bullying scenarios about how handle these situations; also identifying who the students can turn to for support if they ever feel bullied. Let’s keep building a safe, positive and respectful environment together.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s odd socks tomorrow 😃

Here are some of the activities of the Khmer Program classes from the past few weeks. We have enjoyed drawing and colouring a map of Cambodia, learning how to take care of our mental math, reading and group work. We also completed our monthly assessments with confidence.

Our theme was "My Voice Matters" and we discussed why our voices are important, how to use them, and how to express our thoughts and feelings. We also brainstormed what makes us feel heard, what the adults in our lives can do to support our mental health, and how we can help others. We learnt that our mental health is just as important as our physical health and that we should use our voices to speak up for ourselves, and others.

Our Student Council President, Ged, shared how we can use our voice to advocate for ourselves and support others with their well being. In addition, our 'Take What You Need' window and student-designed posters enabled us to share positive encouragement and reflect on strategies to improve our mental health.

Model United Nations (MUN) is one of our High School Extracurricular Activities for this academic year. MUN is an educational simulation in which students role-play as diplomats representing different countries. Students develop a range of skills including critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation and global awareness. Schools around the world run Model United Nations, and our students are looking forward to participating in conferences with other schools in the future.
