We held our own floating ceremony at Bambujaya in celebration of Pchum Ben. Together we created small boats and lit incense and candles to float on the water.

To celebrate Pchum Ben at Bambujaya all our classes prepared offerings. The festival dates back to the Angkor era and is among the most important holidays in Cambodia. Families come together to observe Pchum Ben and make offerings to their ancestors.

The Rose Ceremony held annually at Bambujaya International School is unique to Waldorf Education internationally, and welcomes entering first grade children.

Older children offer the younger ones a rose and take their hand to begin them on this new and important journey.
