Discover the basics of natural sciences, social sciences, and civics at Adapted Educational Learning Center: taking care of our environment, our planet.
This week, the children discovered and practiced the concept of recycling. They also learned which materials are not recyclable.
They observed, listened, identified, sorted, and understood the main steps of recycling, all while having fun using old materials to make new ones. Our favorite workshop was the puppet-making workshop, where the puppets were made from socks, cotton, toilet paper rolls, cardboard, and paper!
Our goal is to raise children's awareness of respecting nature and living things, and to inform them about the dangers of plastic, chemical waste, and pollution, because they will be the adults of tomorrow.
Well done to the teachers who showed great imagination in creating puppets and small plush toys!

Discover the basics of natural sciences, social sciences, and civics at Adapted Educational Learning Center: taking care of our environment, our planet.
This week the children learned about a few ways of reducing and saving energies - water, electricity and gas - and using different natural resources instead.
From water collection and reusing, following pipes leaking and pretending cooking using wood, clay, stones and fire, the children had a lot of fun.
They also made beautiful art projects.
We aim to awaken children to respect for nature and living things, to learn about the dangers of plastic, chemical waste, and pollution, because they will be the adults of tomorrow.
Congratulations to the children, young and old, who demonstrated attentiveness and cooperation.

Learn the fundamentals in natural sciences and social studies at Adapted Educational Learning Center : taking care of animals (farm animals and pets).
As part of their animal care activities, teachers and children became apprentice actors for a visit to the veterinarian.
From the reception area to the waiting room, during consultations for check-ups or annual vaccinations, to the X-ray room for a broken leg, abdominal pain, or eye problems, the children observed and practiced the care and attention their pets— rabbits, dogs, and cats —require.
A big thank you to the Stepbridge School teaching team, whose acting skills impressed everyone. Some of them might even become veterinarians!
A huge congratulations to the children - both young and old - who showed great interest and cooperation.
All of this was filmed live! Enjoy!

Special ''spring season - hot and dry season in Cambodia -'' learning program at Adapted Educational Learning Center
For our second week of the ''spring' season'' special learning program the children and the teachers created a fairy garden - in 3D (real and small scale) and in 2D (large panels).
The project had to be completed by each class and/or group of children and followed a new theme per day. We first prepared the ground – soil, grass, sand, leaves, etc. – then step by step added water bodies, houses, paths, bridges, fountains, stairs, ladders, lamps and other decorative objects, characters / figurines and flowers.
Wooden sticks, stones, pebbles, leaves, branches, marbles, straws, buttons, pasta, sand, water, modeling clay / play dough, flowers, paper, pots, matches, drawing, collages, painting and crafts enriched all the projects.
T. Sandra's classroom was transformed into a workshop where all the children pitched in. We all had many discoveries and learning experiences!
