How amazing is this! A dream we can have for Cambodia
Scotland has become the first country in the world to make period products free for anyone who needs them. 👏👏👏
With the new law, free menstrual products will be available in locations such as libraries, public gyms, community buildings, pharmacies and doctors offices. There will even be an app to help people easily find where products are available.
The move is part of a global effort to end period poverty.
Scottish MP, Monica Lennon says Scotland may be “the first but won’t be the last”, with Northern Ireland considering a similar move, and New Zealand and Seoul already offering free menstrual products in schools.

Well it definitely has been a crazy couple of years hasn’t it!. With school closures in Cambodia, to no visitors coming, we have not been able to hold any workshops or receive any new donations of kits.
But now there is good news! Schools have reopened and stayed open for 6 months and students are back in the classroom learning and seeing their friends again.
Slowly tourists and visitors are coming back to Cambodia, which is heartwarming and exciting!
However, we generally get our donations of DfG’s Kits from school groups coming over, as they can carry many kits. Though schools are beginning to organise visits, most of these won’t be happening until 2023.
Until we can receive kit donations again, TSS will remain closed, but we know our educators are always sharing their knowledge with their friends and are always happy to help out.
Hopefully we will be sharing news of workshops happening in 2022!

'My Voice, Our Equal Future'
Today is International Day of the Girl and everyone here at TSS wants to tell every girl in the world that you have a voice! We hope that the little bit that we do encourages other Khmer girls to share their voice, to speak up and to learn from each other. 💚💜💜💚
End the stigma. Period.
Periods. Menstruation. Monthlies. Call it what you want. But there’s a whole lot to talk about.

We had a chat to our recent 'graduates' about their feelings and thoughts about being a new TSS Educator :) We love what they shared with us 💚💜💜💚
"It’s a great day to day learning experience for young women. I want to teach about our maturity and share it with the younger generation to learn more. I feel more aware and able to protect myself and clean my body and not get sick easily." Mey Mey
"I really love to learn about Days for Girls because it make me feel secure. And I can teach others, especially my own brothers and sisters." Kim Houy
"I feel comfortable and happy when I study about DfG because I can look after myself when I have my period." Seyha
"It is good to learn DfG because it prevents future infections and we don’t get sick. We have to practice it ourselves and teach others clearly. We need to teach them how to use the cloth properly and wash it well and dry it in the sun." Kunyeam
"It was great to learn about DfG and I really really love to study that because I know everything in my body and I understand what it means. I will use my experience to teach my younger sister or other women in the villages and I trust myself that I can do it." Kim Miet
"I feel happy so much when I study DfG and I finish it because it helps my body and I want to teach people too." Vouch Meng.
