What's your view on mission volunteering?

"By having this conversation I hope that we can begin to acknowledge and challenge our own lasting biases from the colonial era so that we can reshape the way we see, think, and interact with the world around us."

Mission volunteering is often seen as doing god's work, but it has problematic ties to colonialism and spreading "the ways of the white man".

A 16 year old volunteer goes to Rwanda to start a job creation program - and realises she doesn't know how to do it. Fortunately her Rwandan colleagues do!

The covid-19 pandemic is hitting everyone hard, but vulnerable children locked away in orphanages are at risk of being forgotten.

This is a time of dire need in Nepal and many people are stepping up to help. But some are more interested in capturing their donation on Facebook.
