🌞Bangkok, Thailand.
Thailand has ended quarantine for VACCINATED arrivals from new specific countries. Luckily, 2 of the native English speaking countries are on this list - namely the USA and the UK.

If you are NOT from one of the lucky countries to be added to the list don’t worry, there’s a great option for them too: The quarantine period has been reduced from 14 to 7 days for vaccinated arrivals from ALL countries, and there are some great, reasonably priced options, with the Phuket Sandbox Project (which we highly recommend as you are not confined to their room or even the hotel). Think of it as a ‘mini break’ before getting stuck into studying!

🌞Bali, Indonesia.
Indonesia’s quarantine (for our Bali course) has been reduced from 8 days to ‘4 nights/5 days’! Note that Indonesia is only accepting fully-vaccinated arrivals. This is another savings – and they can select quarantine hotels from the list attached. The average hotel rate is $60 per 24 hour period.

🌞Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Cambodia’s quarantine has been reduced from 14 days to either 3 or 7 days for VACCINATED arrivals!

The 3 day quarantine will depend on a “Validation Certificate” approval by the Cambodian Government applied for by Destination TEFL. The quarantine deposit covers all swab tests, transport to the quarantine facility, 3 meals a day etc.

The quarantine deposit for Cambodia is as follow:

3 day quarantine (VAPGI Approval dependent) = $600.00 CASH

7 day quarantine = $1,000.00 CASH

Bali Course Information:

*Costs*
Visa cost - $295 (Single entry e-Visa valid for 60 days.)
Extension - $70 (May extend visa 4 times, valid for 30 days.)
Processing time - 7 business days
(This is an e-Visa which means that there is no need for you to visit an Indonesian Embassy. Everything is done electronically. Full visa application assistance is offered.)

*Arrival in Indonesia*
All trainees need to travel to Jakarta, Indonesia for a compulsory 5 day quarantine.
Quarantine cost - $400

*Covid-19 Testing Requirements*
Both foreigner and Indonesian passport holders entering Indonesia directly or transiting via other countries must provide a printed medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test, in which sample taked must be a maximum of 72 hours before departure time.

BALI IS NOW OPEN!

After a nearly 4 month hold on the B-211A visas, the Indonesian authorities have announced that any traveler holding a B-211A visa will be allowed to enter Indonesia. The B-211 visa is a SINGLE entry e-Visa for business visits which will allow you to stay up to 60 days. This visa can be extended a maximum of 4 times. Each extension 30 days. This will allow all trainees enough time to secure a teaching position (min eligibility criteria applies), and then change their visa to the relevant working visa in-country. We have seen an increase in the Digital Nomads (degreed and non-degreed) teaching online in Indonesia. These nomads will need to reapply for B-211A visas every 6 months.

NOTE: During covid, there is a 14-day quarantine period in Cambodia on arrival in Phnom Penh. You also need to pay a $2000 deposit to the Cambodian government on arrival - your quarantine expenses are taken out of this amount and you are refunded the balance after your quarantine. It depends on which quarantine hotel they put you in - on average most people get around $500 back. There is also no visa on arrival during the pandemic. However, we can assist with the paperwork to get a business visa before coming over. Full details will be provided on confirmed sign up.
