Our fourth teacher is Lakhena.
"I was inspired to become a teacher because I want to share my knowledge and experience with children, and teaching children makes me really happy! Coming from a poor background, I appreciate the value of a good education and would like to focus on teaching English and Khmer. I really like India because the people are friendly and the weather is very nice and cool. Almost everyone speaks English so I hope my English will improve during my stay. Also the environment here is clean and they don’t use plastic bags at the stores."

Sreypich:
I am also aspiring to become a qualified English teacher, so I can share my knowledge. So far in Bangalore, eveything seems so new as it is my first time traveling away from home. The environment here is cool and the people here they are so friendly. And the most important thing is, they don't really use plastic at all!

Don't forget, you can support us by attending the weekend brunch at B**g Bonlai / YK Art House, or if you'd like to donate directly, please get in touch!

Who we are:
Channeath
I became a teacher because when I was at school, I felt a bit behind and thought I could do better job as a teacher myself! I work at the nursery, and would also like to teach Khmer and English literacy at the primary level. Bangalore is very beautiful with lots of parks and the roads are safe for the pedestrians. The food here is slightly different from our food, but it is not a problem. Most importantly, people at the hostel and at the school are very welcoming and kind. They always would help us as we need and always give us a tips.

Who we are:
Sreynich - I became a teacher because I love children and teaching, especially teaching English. I am very excited to be in India as it's my first time traveling abroad, and I am experiencing a new environment. The people here are really kind and almost all of them speak English, so in additional to the teacher training I can improve my English as well!
