Welcome to my Angkor History channel!
Today I am going to share about Buddhism & Hinduism in Cambodia.
Cambodia uses to believe in Buddhism & Hinduism for a long time, which Buddhism still very strong up to now.
What is Buddhism?
What is Buddha teaching?
What are Buddhist people practicing?
What is Hinduism?
So Buddhism is a faith that was founded by Siddhartha Gautama or Buddha more than 2500 years ago. Buddhism has 2 kinds Mahayana & Hinayana. Mahayana is believed with Buddhisava and Hinayana is believe with 5 Buddha :
1 Kasapou ( turtle element )
2 Karuk santou ( roster element)
3 Samanak Kou Dam ( ox element)
4 Kou Nak Komano ( dragon element)
5 Sri Ar Metrey ( Tiger element) that will get enlightenment in the future. And Buddhism is the teaching of Buddha.
What's Buddha teaching?
Buddha is enlightenment and teaches us self-awareness.
What are Buddhist people practicing?
They're practicing the 3 levels of:
1 moral
2 meditation
3 wisdom
And the 5 precepts in Buddhism:
1 no killing
2 no stealing
3 no misconduct
4 no telling a lie
5 no drinking alcohol.
So now what is Hinduism?
Hinduism is a warship of many gods, but the majority is trinity gods such as Vishnu, Brahma, and Siva the same as you spell god in English G, O, D :
G = generate is Vishnu riding on Garuda
O = organizer is Brahma ridding on swan
D = destroyer is Siva riding the bull
And all of them is the god of creation.
